Sey niya, “Something in the 90s, narinig ko from the legendary Rico J. Puno kung pa’no maging “superstar” sa Philippine entertainment industry and he said there are 5 requirements:

“Una, dapat number one sa rating ang TV show mo. Pangalawa, dapat blockbuster sa takilya ang movie mo. Pangatlo, dapat nasa playlist ng radio stations ang mga kanta mo. Pang-apat, dapat sold-out ang concerts mo. Panglima, dapat maganda ang reviews ng theater/stage plays mo.

“Ang hirap, ‘di ba?

Iisa lang ang kilala ko sa showbiz na na-achieve LAHAT ito SIMULTANEOUSLY at one point in her career...

Si Nora Aunor lang.

May iba pa ba kayong kilala in this generation sa industriya natin na kayang pumantay sa achievement n’ya?

Ex-GF, nag-unfollow na… KOBE, ‘DI MA-UNFOLLOW SI KYLINE DAHIL MAY ENDORSEMENT PA

IN-UNFOLLOW na pala ni Kyline Alcantara si Kobe Paras sa Instagram (IG), at naniniwala ang mga fans ng dalawa na ia-unfollow na rin ni Kobe si Kyline. Ito ay kapag nag-expire na ang kontrata nila bilang brand ambassadors ng Zalora. 

Kapag nagtapos na ang kontrata nila, sigurado na pati ang photos nila for the said online fashion, beauty and lifestyle business ay ide-delete na rin nila.

May mga umaasa na maaayos pa nina Kyline at Kobe ang kanilang problema, kaya lang, kapag may nakisali na, nagiging messy na ang breakup. 

Remember, nag-post ang mom ni Kobe na si Jackie Forster ng cryptic post na sabi ng mga fans, parang sagot sa cryptic post ni Kyline.

Sunod na nag-react ang brother ni Kyline na nilinaw lang naman na fake news ang balitang magkasama sa Bali, Indonesia sina Kyline at Kobe. Nag-comment ito sa lumabas na photo na may katabing girl si Kobe na inakalang si Kyline dahil nakahawak pa si Kobe sa waist ng babae.

Sabi ng brother ni Kyline, “‘Di ko alam na may super powers pala kapatid ko, ‘di ko naman alam na nagte-teleport pala s’ya from here to Bali. Real quick.”

Thankful ang mga fans ni Kyline na magiging busy siya sa Beauty Empire (BE), hindi raw nito masyadong maiisip si Kobe at ang nangyari sa kanilang relasyon.

Samantala, na-bash na naman si Kyline dahil sa TikTok (TT) video nitong sumasayaw sa song ni Jennie ng BlackPink na Damn Right. Pabebe raw ito at may nag-akalang parinig niya kay Kobe ang song.

Pa-tribute ni Alfred sa bida ng movie…

PIETA NI NORA, LIBRENG IPAPALABAS SA MGA SM CINEMAS

ISA ang Pieta sa mga huling pelikula na ginawa ni Nora Aunor kung saan kasama niya sa cast si Councilor Alfred Vargas na siya ring producer sa direction ni Adolf Alix, Jr.. 

Bilang tribute sa Superstar, nag-post si Alfred ng ilang clips ng movie at ikinuwento ang story nito.

Si Nora ay gumanap bilang si Rebecca, mom ni Isaac (Alfred) na hindi na siya maalala at makilala. 

Ani Alfred, “Pieta is a story about love, family, truth, mistakes and forgiveness.”

Sinabi rin ni Alfred na ang Pieta ay mananatiling isa sa mga pinaka-special at paborito niyang pelikulang nagawa sa buong buhay niya dahil nakasama niya rito si Guy.

Pag-alala pa ni Alfred kay Nora, “The most important lesson I learned from you is that: TRUE STARS SHINE BECAUSE OF HUMILITY AND GENEROSITY IN EVERYTHING THEY DO AND WHOEVER THEY MEET. Sa ‘yo ko naramdaman ito ng sobra, Ate Guy.

“Maraming salamat dahil tinanggap mo ako sa puso mo at nagkaroon ako ng chance to work at makilala ang ONE AND ONLY SUPERSTAR that we will ever have!

“Rest in peace, Ate Guy. Mahal na mahal kita.”

Bilang tribute sa Superstar, plano ni Alfred na ipalabas ang Pieta in selected SM Cinemas nationwide.

Dumating si John Rendez sa burol ni Superstar Nora Aunor sa Heritage Park, Taguig last Friday. 

Dahil stressed at parang hindi raw mapakali dahil sa pagyao ng Superstar, the following day, Black Saturday (Abril 19), na ito nakipag-usap sa ilang press patungkol sa yumaong si Ate Guy.  

Sa araw ding ‘yun nag-umpisa ang public viewing (Sabado ng alas-10 ng umaga) at dinagsa ito ng mga fans.

Marami ang nagpahatid ng pakikiramay kay John, na agad ding bumati sa kanila. 

Sa pakikipag-usap sa kanya ng ilan nilang supporters, nagsabi si John na kakain muna siya. Ilang araw na raw siyang walang ganang kumain. 

Minahal din pala si John ng mga Noranians.

“Opo, opo. Kaya nga sila nandito, para suportahan ‘yung mahal nilang idol, our beloved National Artist, the Superstar. And, ahhh… we have to give them importance also because ‘yan ang gusto ni Ate Guy,” bungad na pahayag ni John na ilang dekadang kasama ng Superstar hanggang ito’y pumanaw.

“So ako, nagpapasalamat ako na ‘yung pagmamahal nila kay Ate Guy at ‘yung support na nila kay Ate Guy, sa aming dalawa, ahh, ang ganda... na mararamdaman mo, makikita mo talaga,” dagdag nito.

Alam daw niya at ng mga Noranians kung gaano siya kamahal ni Ate Guy.  

Pahayag pa niya, “Alam mo, lahat tayo, mahal natin si Ate Guy. We all love Ate Guy. No one can say, ‘I love Ate Guy more,’ or ‘Ate Guy loves me more.’

“Lahat ‘yan, mahal n’ya. At lahat tayo, nagmamahal sa kanya. Pero, in our own way, we show our appreciation, puwede nating sabihin our devotion to the person through our interactions with each other.

“Kumbaga, paano natin ipapakita sa kanya na mahal natin s’ya kung ‘yung mga tao sa paligid niya, mga suplado, ‘di ba?

“Hindi naman tayo suplado. Depende naman sa kausap. Pero pagdating sa mga fans, Ate Guy always makes her fans a priority. So, the only way we can honor her memory is to show kindness and show importance to the people that, for her, are number one.”

Nasaksihan niya kung paano pinahalagahan ng Superstar ang Noranians all these years.  

Tumango si John, “Opo, opo, opo. Alam ko ‘yan. Matagal ko nang nakita. Matagal ko na pong kasama si Ate Guy.”

Hanggang sa naging emosyonal na si John. 

Aniya, “Ahhh, pasensiya na po, medyo I’m still at a loss for words, eh. I’m still absorbing it, eh.  

“Pero nakita ko kung paano s’ya magmahal sa mga fans n’ya. And ‘yun ang isa sa minahal ko sa kanya. Alam ko, ‘yung relationship between her and the fans is very, very personal and very, very special.  

“And I just want to be able to honor her memory by showing affection towards the people that she cared about.”

Natanggap na ba ni John ang pagkawala ng nag-iisang Superstar, ang Ate Guy ng buhay niya?

Aniya, “Parang hindi totoo.”

TULUY-TULOY na ang pagbabalik ng longest-running drama anthology na Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK) ni Charo Santos-Concio ngayong Abril 24. 

Sa panayam sa kanya ng ABS-CBN News, ani Charo, “Hindi naman s’ya [MMK] nawala sa consciousness ko. Never siyang nawala.”  

Sa pagbabalik ng kanyang MMK, featured ang buhay at tagumpay ng ating kababayang

si Sofronio Vasquez, na itinanghal bilang The Voice USA Grand Champion 2024. 

“The show’s return is proof that stories like Sofronio’s still matter deeply in today’s culture,” lahad ni Charo.  

Dagdag pa niya, “I guess they also saw the value of the program. Ako (ang) pinakamalungkot [when MMK was cancelled].” 

At sa pagkawala ng MMK, doon n’ya nadiskubre ang influence ng programa sa mga kababayan nating gustong i-share ang kuwento ng kanilang buhay.  

Aniya, “‘Di ba ‘pag medyo madrama ang buhay mo, maririnig mo, ‘I-MMK na ‘yan!’ o ‘Oy, pang-MMK, ah!’”  

Ang napiling gumanap bilang si Sofronio ay si Elijah Canlas, ang magaling at award-winning Kapamilya actor.  

Sa mga hindi naipalabas na istorya ng MMK bago ito na-cancel, mapapanood din ang mga inspiring stories na streaming 48 hours in advance on iWantTFC starting April 24 (Thursday). 

Sa naganap na mediacon ng MMK last week, naitanong kay Elijah na gaganap bilang si Sofronio Vasquez kung agad niyang tinanggap ang role kahit alam niyang ‘di siya singer by profession?  

“First time ko rin gumanap ng isang tao na buhay pa. Kasi the other roles, I’ve done mga historical figures. So, at least now I had that reference to interview Sofronio, learn more about him, about the story. Sana nagawa namin nang tama.”  

Naitanong kay Elijah kung ano ang mga highlights ng episode at pabiro niya itong sinagot, “‘Yung singing skills ko po,” na ikinatuwa ng media. 

Sey pa niya, “Hindi, actually, ‘yun po ‘yung unang tanong before I accepted it, I asked kung okay lang ba na I can’t sing like him, ha? I can admit naman na hindi ako biritero like Sofronio. I can sing, but not like him. Pero sabi po nila, okey lang daw. But when I read the script, meron dalawang kanta doon that I had to sing. Pero kaya naman. Pumasok naman sa range ko.

“Salamat sa prod, kasi may isang Bisaya song. Eh, hindi naman ako Bisaya. Then they asked Sofronio to record it himself. Tapos siya ‘yung vocal coach ko.”
