Naging kontrobersiyal ang recent episode ng Tamang Panahon EP 1 podcast na napapanood sa YouTube (YT) ng aktres at TV host na si Maine Mendoza nang magkuwento siya tungkol sa Kapuso actor na si Alden Richards.
Sa social media post ng asawa ng number one congressman ng District 1 ng Quezon City na si Congressman Arjo Atayde, nagpahayag siya ng kanyang saloobin tungkol sa last podcast episode.
Saad ng Eat…Bulaga! (EB!) host na si Maine, “Okay, so about the last podcast episode... Una sa lahat, I didn’t think the part about my story with Alden would spark controversy, let alone be a big deal, considering that everyone had already moved on from Kalyeserye and AlDub. From the start, I hoped the clashes between fans on both sides would end, at least, even though the hate train aimed at me was nonstop then and apparently still remains so.
“The point of our podcast is to look back on Kalyeserye and to discuss and share behind-the-scenes stories—the untold ones, and that can include personal experiences, narratives, and sentiments. I believe it’s acceptable to reflect and openly discuss them for this podcast, especially now that it’s been a decade and all is well between the individuals involved, particularly me and Alden.
“There is no reason to exclude him from the story/our stories, despite his absence, because he was a big part of Kalyeserye, and it would have felt strange to leave him out. That said, there was no intention to provoke criticism or negativity towards him or anyone else. I was asked, I answered, and I shared a short anecdote.
“All is well among the dabarkads. We’ve all moved on, and the past remains there. We can revisit and reflect on the good and the bad with a peaceful heart. Ten years on, we are all living the lives we chose, and I hope we can keep moving forward without nurturing hate because what’s the point? What do we gain from hostility?”
Dagdag pa ni Maine, “Please don’t throw hate on Alden. Regardless of what he meant by his words, it was really for the best for both of us and our situation at that time. Don’t read too much into it.”
Maraming netizens ang nagpahayag ng kani-kanilang saloobin tungkol sa pahayag ni Mrs. Maine Atayde.
Sey ng isang netizen, “I’m an AlDub fan since day 1 nu’ng ‘di pa kasal si Menggay (Maine), hoping pa rin ako na sila ang endgame. Pero Arjo chose to marry her kasi nga sino ba namang hindi gugustuhin na makasama s’ya? Like, hello, it’s Maine. So ‘yun, broken talaga ako na hindi sila ang endgame pero hindi ibig sabihin nu’n hindi ako magiging masaya kay Maine. At least sa era namin, meron kaming AlDub na babalikan at marami kaming napulot na aral sa Kalyeserye.”
Sabi naman ng isa pang netizen, “Very well said! Just leave the past behind and smile for the happy moments of Kalyeserye that gave us kilig and excitement. Leave those negative from the past, that’s why they call it the past. Let’s look at the day ahead of us as we wait for more of what the Dabarkads can give.”

KRIS SA MGA FANS: ‘WAG KAYO SUMUKO SA PAGDARASAL
MULING nagbigay ng update sa Instagram (IG) ang Queen of All Media na si Kris Aquino tungkol sa kanyang kalusugan kung saan makikita siyang nakahiga sa ospital habang binabantayan ng kanyang bunsong anak na si Bimby.
Humingi uli ng panalangin si Kris sa publiko para makaligtas sa kanyang kasalukuyang sakit.
Saad ni Kris, “I came in for the 2nd dose of my RITUXIMAB. I was prepared in the sense that we already knew all the protocols we would all need to follow. I have to give a big shoutout to @ging.md because she saw something in my blood panel results that she found alarming.
“She convinced me to have an ultrasound done yesterday; with all my hospitalizations I can already tell na dapat na kong kabahan ‘pag umakyat na ‘yung senior technician...
“I had more tests today and 3 different specialists (I want to protect their privacy kaya very general ang pagbigay ko ng info) came to explain things to me and how important it was to not delay because I would be endangering my life further. (Parang kulang pa ‘yung mahirap nang bilangin na ‘life threatening’ autoimmune diseases ko.)
“Since the night before my confinement, Bimb hasn’t been sleeping well. Sunday, Kuya came to visit me (I’ll share those pictures when I am discharged). Doctor NC told me that he doesn’t do procedures unless they are necessary but this is something all my doctors discussed—why does Kris Aquino get these difficult-to-detect possible health time bombs not once but twice in her lifetime and because of the first, we now all know she’s allergic to all blood thinners.
“I had the non-invasive option explained to me, but I chose to literally trust Filipino doctors with my life rather than take medicine that I am unsure of especially because I just finished a big dose of a strong immunosuppressant and I am continuing with 2 immunosuppressants and so much more supplements, antihistamines, and important vitamins.
“Please pray for all my doctors, those assisting them in the OR, all the nurses (especially mine) and technicians. ‘Wag sana kayo sumuko sa pagdasal dahil kumukuha ako ng lakas galing sa kabutihang loob ninyo. #pleasewagsumuko #tuloyparinanglaban.”
