Masuka-suka ang It's Showtime host na si Anne Curtis nu'ng malaman niya na may batas sa Pilipinas na allowed makipag-sex ang isang adult to a 12 years old.
Sa kanyang Twitter account, ini-repost ni Anne ang tweet mula sa UNICEF Philippines.
"In the Philippines, adults can have sex with children as young as 12 years old and claim it was consensual. We're calling on the Philippine Congress to immediately pass a law that increases the age to determine statutory rape. #ENDChildRape," post from UNICEF.
Naglabas ng kanyang opinyon si Anne ukol sa "consensual" law sa ating bansa sa kanyang Twitter account.
Tweet ni Anne, "I know this may be tough to read but please take the time. Can you believe, at 12 years old an adult can have sex with a child & claim it’s consensual? This makes me sick in the tummy. You aren’t even legally allowed to get married, vote, get a license yet.. but this is allowed?"
Nakakabahala naman talaga ang batas na ito at dapat bigyang-pansin. Ang karamihan sa atin, 'di knows na may ganitong existing law.
"Seriously? That scares me as mom but makes me sick at the same time."
"I 100% agree with you, Miss Anne!"
"I thought it is 18, hindi pala. Scary. Kalampagin ang Kongreso! How come na may ganu'n tayong batas at nakalampas 'yung ganito?"
