Puring-puri ng mga netizens ang inilabas na video ng Miss Universe-Philippines kung saan ipinakilala nila ang naggagandahang 28 candidates na suot ang kani-kanilang national costume na gawa ng magagaling at world-class designers ng bansa at ang tema nito ay “Manila Carnival Queen”.

Ayon sa FB post ng MUP, “This year’s National Costume theme is a celebration of a bygone era of elegance and sophistication—the Manila Carnival Queens. They are the first Filipina beauty queens whose names are still remembered by historians and pageant aficionados. Their images wearing elaborate and intricate costumes live on in black and white photos (if you notice the song titled Kulay).

“So we wanted to bring these back to life and imagine how they would have looked today. Our delegates’ costumes are all masterfully created for them by world-class Filipino designers. It showcases the Filipina beauty, heritage, and artistry interpreted in modern, traditional, and avant-garde ways. Regardless of its interpretation, at the very core is the heart of a Filipina who is proud of her history, heritage, and country.

Sa 28, agree kami sa choice ng karamihan na nag-stand out talaga dito si Maureen Christa Wroblewitz ng Pangasinan at mahigpit na naman niyang kalaban si Kirsten Danielle ‘Kisses’ Delavin representing Masbate.

Kasama rin sa top favorites ang national costume nina Katrina Dimaranan (Taguig), Steffi Rose Aberasturi (Cebu Province), Beatrice Luigi Gomez (Cebu City), Rousenne Marie Bermos (San Juan), Janela Joy Cuaton (Albay), Krizzaleen Mae Valencia (Davao Occidental) at Jasmine Umali (Manila).

Dahil sa lumabas na karamihan sa NatCos gowns ay pasok sa tema at magaganda talaga na puwedeng irampa ng magiging representative natin sa Miss Universe sa December, may nag-comment ng, “Milya-milya ang layo sa national costume ni Rabiya na pang-talpakan.”

Gandang-ganda nga ang netizen at opinyon niya, “Bakit ‘yung ginamit ng Miss Universe natin, eh, parang Victoria Secret na pang-barangay?”

Anyway, tuwang-tuwa ang mga fans ng BGYO sa pagkakapili rito para kumanta ng Kulay na bagay na bagay habang rumarampa ang 28 candidates.

Ang grand coronation night ng Miss Universe Philippines 2021 ay gaganapin sa Panglao, Bohol sa September 30.

Sinagot ni Heart Evangelista ng “I worked hard for that darling” ang comment ng netizen na edited ang ipinost niyang picture dahil bigla raw pumayat si Heart.

Makikita pa nga ang abs ni Heart sa larawang suot ang Louis Vuitton skirt at bitbit ang LV Capucines bag.

Binulabog na naman ni Heart ang mga netizens dahil sa suot niya na papunta lang daw siya sa market para bumili ng lemons and limes.

May nagkamaling mag-comment na parang edited ang photo niya, ayun, kawawang netizen, pinagtulungan ng mga followers ni Heart.

In fairness, nagwo-workout si Heart at may vlog nga siya kung paano naghihirap mag-workout, plus nagda-diet para hindi tumaba. Hindi siguro napanood ng nag-comment na baka edited ang photo niya, kaya inaway ng mga followers ni Heart.

Samantala, wala pang updates kung kailan magsisimula ang locked-in taping nina Heart, Richard Yap at Paolo Contis ng I Left My Heart in Sorsogon. Excited na ang mga fans nitong muli siyang mapanood sa teleserye.

Michael Cinco, sinisi ni Miss Universe Canada na natalo dahil sa gown, rumesbak

Maanghang ang mga salitang binitawan ng Filipino fashion designer na si Michael Cinco laban kay Miss Universe Canada Nova Stevens at sa kanyang team matapos siyang sisihin diumano ng mga ito sa pagkatalo sa naturang beauty pageant.

Sa mahabang Facebook post noong Sabado, tinawag ni Cinco si Stevens at ang kabuuan ng Miss Canada Organization na “ungrateful”, “vile”, at “professional users” kasama ng screenshot ng post ng MGmode Communications na nagsasabing late nang dumating ang mga gowns.

Saad pa ng MGmode na handler ni Stevens, “The gown was sent late by Michael’s team, and when it arrived, none of them fitted!” Anila pa, “Such a terrible mistake should not have happen! We love Michael! But this was inexplicable.”

Ayon kay Cinco, nang makarating sa kanya ang naturang post ng MGmode sa Instagram, pinadalhan niya ng mensahe ang mga ito na burahin ang post “and not to humiliate me in social media.”

Saad pa ni Cinco, “I BEGGED him and almost cried and told him I deserve RESPECT.” Sinabihan din umano niya si Stevens upang depensahan siya at tulungan na linawin ang naturang isyu.

Aniya pa, “She (Stevens) just told me that the guys are upset because they believed me and my team are trying to sabotage her.”

Depensa ni Cinco sa FB post, “The gowns arrived on time. Or how could you have sent me photos and videos of her wearing them, showing how the gowns perfectly fitted her, days before each event. You even posted a video of Nova in her last fitting and she was happy. “You were forcing me to make Nova’s 26” waistline to be inched to 23”, which I obviously didn’t heed even if you said that in pageants, comfort doesn’t matter.” “Absurd” din umano ang pahayag ng team ni Stevens na sinabotahe sila ni Cinco.

Aniya, “The insinuation that my team was trying to sabotage her win, is just absurd.” Patunay daw nito ay nag-hire pa si Cinco ng “world-class photographer and filmmaker to shoot her in my couture gowns at a world-class location in Dubai just to give her extra publicity mileage and create for her a balance of glam and luxury as opposed to her humble homecoming in Africa. And everything was PAID FOR BY ME.”

Ayon din kay Cinco, maging ang ibang Miss Universe candidates at mga beauty queens ay nagsuot din ng kanyang mga gawa na pinasalamatan siya maliban lang kay Stevens at sa Canadian team.

Aniya pa, “But for NOVA and your team, not only have I not got a curt THANK YOU but even seemed so upset with me for being eliminated in the pageant.

“AM I THE JUDGE?” Nanawagan din si Cinco na tigilan ang paninisi sa kanya sa pagkatalo ni Stevens at hindi pagpasok sa Miss Universe Top 21.

Aniya, “STOP blaming me for Nova’s not making it to the Top 21 in Miss UNIVERSE. In fact, she did not wear my gown to the prelims as you were earlier posting that she will wear another gown.

And now YOU’RE TELLING ME that her PRELIMS GOWN KILLED HER to advance to the finals. Am I to be blamed for that? “I dressed up most A-List HOLLYWOOD Celebrities, Royalties and wealthiest clients all over the world and they only have ONE RULE in fashion... IF THE DRESS DON’T FIT, DON’T WEAR IT!!! SIMPLE AS THAT. GET IT??? And mind you all of them know how to say THANK YOU...”

Pambubulgar pa ni Cinco, “YOU and your team have been USING me and taking advantage of my kindness for the past 3 consecutive years to dress up your candidates WITHOUT PAYING ME ANY CENTS!” Simpleng “thank you” lamang daw sana ay sapat na ngunit hindi man lang siya nakatanggap ng pasasalamat sa team ni Stevens.

Saad pa ni Cinco, “YOU ALL ARE UNGRATEFUL, VILE and professional USERS.” Nanawagan din si Cinco sa Canadian team na ‘wag na siyang kukunin o ang iba pang Filipino designers na gumawa ng damit ng mga kandidata nila.

Aniya pa, “STOP taking advantage of my KINDNESS and STOP scamming FILIPINO designers... HOW DARE YOU... SHAME ON YOU and your whole CANADIAN Team…”

Ipinost din ni Cinco ang ilang piktyur ni Stevens habang suot ang gown na mga gawa niya. Caption ni Cinco sa final gown ni Stevens, “NOVA’s final gown. Instead of THANKING me for creating her an exquisite gown, she and her team are complaining it didn’t fit her well as if the fitting will make her win the crown... REALLY gusto mo lagyan ko ng YERO waistline mo para lumiit pa... NAGBAYAD KA BA???”

Sa larawan naman na suot ni Stevens ang gawa ni Cinco na dapat sana’y pang-preliminary gown na hindi ginamit dahil sa umano’y “ill-fitting”, aniya, “The worst comment to say to a designer is for your dress to be called ILL-FITTING. I would definitely admit and accept the bashing if it’s true. But this photo shows that she is LYING.. This photo was sent by NOVA herself.

“Girl, ano’ng gusto mong gawin ko sa katawan mo, ISEMENTO ko ‘yang balakang mo? ...KAPAL mo... “And here she is smiling and happy then all of a sudden you’re spreading rumors that you didn’t wear my gown ‘coz it’s ill-fitting... So what’s the best fitting fitting for you, ‘yung i-GLUE ko ang damit sa katawan mo para magmukha kang REBULTO?”
