Handang i-donate ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang kanyang isang buwang sahod bilang tulong kontra COVID-19 pandemic.
Ito ang inihayag ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo kung saan aabot sa P400,000 bawat buwan ang sahod ng Pangulo.
Nabatid na magdo-donate rin si Panelo at mga assistant secretaries ng opisina ng Chief Presidential Legal Counsel ng 10 percent ng kanilang sahod na ibibigay sa Office of Civil Defense.
Kaugnay nito, welcome rin aniya sa Office of the President ang naging inisyatibo ng iba pang ahensiya ng gobyerno para labanan ang outbreak ng COVID-19.
"The Office of the President is pleased to know that the two other branches of the government have their own program of helping the battle against COVID-19 even as we acknowledge the support given by various heads of offices and agencies in their personal capacities to thwart the
COVID-19 pandemic," ani Panelo.
Samantala, handa ring pakinggan ni Duterte ang lahat ng suhestiyon at iba pang opsyon kaugnay sa posibleng pagpapalawig ng lockdown.
"The President is all ears and eyes on this unfolding reality and expert opinions. He is evaluating the best option to take that will effectively insure the success of our war against this wily and faceless global enemy. He will make his decision in due time," dagdag ni Panelo.
