WINNER - BEA AT VINCENT, IKAKASAL NA!/IG @bealonzo

Photo: IG @bealonzo

Kasado na ang kasalang Bea Alonzo at Vincent Co.

Ipinost ng St. Peter the Apostle Parish ang wedding banns nina Bea at Vincent with their

complete names last Sunday (March 8).

And what happens next after three consecutive Sundays na posting sa church?

Kaya pala nananahimik ang aktres for a long time ay busy na siya sa preparations for her wedding.

And this time, Chinese-

Congrats, Bea Alonzo and Vincent Co!

This time, nag-solo muna ang mag-ina sa kanilang Japan trip.

Sey ng isang netizen, “I’m seeing John Lloyd in the 9th slide.”

May pumuri kay Ellen for being a good mom.

“Ellen has blossomed into a fantastic mom.”

“The ultimate love that’s eternal #mumslove.”

True!

Atty. Ferdinand Topacio - Interview via Bulgar

Photo: Atty. Ferdinand Topacio - Interview via Bulgar

Cheers!”

Topacio:

“Calling Ferdinand Topacio ‘dugyot’ on social media is not criticism. It is plain and simple defamation. Under Article 353 of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines, libel is the public and malicious imputation of a vice or defect that tends to dishonor or discredit a person. The term ‘dugyot’ is a direct attack on a person’s dignity and reputation. It contributes nothing to public debate and serves only to insult and malign.

“When such defamatory statements are made online, they may constitute cyber libel under the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10175), which carries heavier penalties than traditional libel.

“Let this be clear: freedom of speech is not a license to defame. The Constitution protects legitimate criticism, but it does not shield malicious character attacks designed to humiliate and destroy a person’s reputation.

“Atty. Ferdie Topacio is a member of the Philippine Bar and an officer of the court. Disagreements with his legal opinions or advocacy may be expressed — that is part of democracy. But reducing discourse to gutter-level insults only exposes the intellectual bankruptcy of those resorting to them.

“Those who recklessly post defamatory remarks online should remember: The internet is not a lawless space. Screenshots are evidence. Posts are traceable. And the law provides remedies. If one cannot argue with facts and reason, resorting to insults only proves the weakness of one’s position.

“Debate the issues. Respect the law. And stop the defamatory attacks.”

“Never argue with an intelligent lawyer. Hahaha!”

“Bardagulan gusto mo? Atty. Topacio will give it to you.”

Kung gusto ng babae ng picture for herself, then keep it to herself. At respect your partner.”

“I go with Atty here. You demand respect and decency, then don’t do anything contrary!”

“Bakit mag-post ng naka-bikini on and off the social media platforms? Stop the hypocrisy.”

Topacio).”

“Let’s not forget the maleta’s and flood control.”

Tumpak!

NAKA-WHEELCHAIR si Gary Valenciano during the rehearsal ng ASAP kahapon.

Another chapter comes to a close. So honored to have been part of this three year journey with my good friend @cocomartin_ph. What a blessing this has been for me.”

Praying for Sir @garyvalenciano's speedy recovery and total healing.”

“Salute to Sir Gary, even on a wheelchair, talagang ramdam namin ang song. We had goosebumps seeing the entire cast headed by Coco Martin, directors while Sir Gary was singing. Congratulations, Batang Quiapo.

“When you sing, it’s always heartwarming.”

True…

WINNER - PAULO, SOLONG NAG-JOGGING SA PARIS, FRANCE_IG _pauavelino

Photo: IG _pauavelino

“Hi. It took me a while to speak up. I was focused on what mattered most, being reunited with my family, who were stranded in the Middle East and getting home safely. I am home now, and now I’m ready to say what needs to be said,” paliwanag ni Anne sa naka-post sa kanyang Instagram (IG) account.

Shocked daw si Anne na nagamit ang pangalan niya without her consent sa maling konteksto at higit sa lahat, sa kawalan ng respeto.

“My initial reaction was one of shock. I was hurt, disturbed by how perverted it was, and angry. But now my thoughts are clear.

“What happened to me isn’t rare. It happens to women every day in offices, in group chats, in rooms where men think no one is listening, or worse, in rooms where they know everyone is and simply don’t care. What made this incident different is that it came from someone holding public office,” sey ni Anne.

Esplika ni Anne, “I do not accept your non-apology. But I also will not carry this as a personal wound.”

But because remaining silent would be wrong for me and for every woman watching.”

Mensahe ni Anne sa kongresista, “Mr. Suntay, I won’t spend much time on you. Not because what you did was small, but because this was never really about you. Since you used me as an example, let me use you as one too.

“You’ve become the poster boy of something much bigger: a culture that still thinks it’s acceptable to talk about women this way. Worse, one that tolerates it from our leaders. As they say, misogyny dressed up as a joke is still misogyny.

“You hold a seat paid for by taxpayers. Women are taxpayers. I am a taxpayer. We are not props in your commentary.”

Mariing sabi ni Anne, “I do not accept your non-apology. But I also will not carry this as a personal wound.”

Pagpapatuloy ni Anne, “Now, what I will carry is the responsibility to say clearly, on behalf of every woman who has ever been spoken about this way: “We deserve better. Not just now, while this topic is a hot issue, but every single day.

“Not just from Mr. Suntay. From all of it. From the casual sexism disguised as clever remarks. From public officials who forget who they serve.

“From a culture that still asks women to laugh it off, to not be so sensitive and to pick their battles.

“Every time a remark like this goes unchallenged, we lower the bar for what leadership looks like.

“Every time a woman is reduced to a cheap remark by someone holding a position of public trust, and nothing happens, we tell the next generation of women exactly where they stand. That is what I refuse to accept.

“Any leader who cannot respect women does not understand leadership at all. Respecting women, after all, is simply basic decency.

“To the ethics committee: I hope you do not let this pass. The integrity of public office depends on the standards it upholds. I will be seeking legal advice and will consider all my options moving forward. I cannot believe how many misogynists have revealed themselves the past couple of days.

“To everyone who used their voice to stand up for us and fight for our respect, both men and women, thank you. And if anyone is wondering why Women’s Month still matters, this is exactly why.”

Palakpakan para kay Anne Curtis!
