Saad pa ng BOC, “This information led to the issuance of an Alert Order against the shipment. A 100% physical inspection was conducted witnessed by members of the Enforcement and Security Service (ESS) and Formal Entry Division (FED) of the Port. The examination revealed 33 bales of ukay-ukay concealing therewith the 3 vehicles.”

Pahayag ng BOC, “A Warrant of Seizure and Detention (WSD) is immediately issued against the shipment for possible violation of Section 1400 of Republic Act (RA) 10863, otherwise known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).”

"We are doing this to prevent smugglers from circumventing the law by attempting to acquire these vehicles through the auction process," pahayag ni Department of Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez sa naganap na okasyon.

Pahayag ni Lorenzana, “Yes smuggled, because they were not authorized, only the government can authorize.

“They need to explain because they violated Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rules.”

Dagdag pa niya, “It is justified… it will protect them so they will not be infected and at the same time they can protect the president.”
