Natanong ang blockbuster director na si Darryl Yap kung ano ang masasabi niya sa bagong tambalan nina Marco Gallo at Aubrey Caraan na ilo-launch nga sa latest movie niyang Ang Manananggal Na Nahahati Ang Puso.

Nag-e-edit na raw siya ng next movie niya na Sarap Mong Patayin, kaya wala na sa isip niya ang rom-com na may pagka-horror.

Kuwento ng direktor, “Tumawag si Boss Vic (del Rosario) few days ago para i-congratulate ako. Acting piece raw ito for Marco. Hindi nila akalain na ganu’n pala kagaling umarte si Marco.

“Revelation naman dito si Aubrey, hopefully na fans, the people and especially the press, will get to notice ‘yung galing nilang umarte. That’s the discovery I made.”

Pag-amin pa ng kontrobersiyal na direktor sa latest movie niya na kinunan sa nakabibighaning isla ng Siquijor, kung saan may na-experience siya na kakaiba at medyo nakakikilabot habang nagsu-shooting sa kuweba, “This is the best that I have done so far.

Siguro, ‘yung best ko, basura pa rin sa iilan or siguro, ‘yung best ko, basic or mediocre para rin sa nakararami.

“Pero this project is very close to my heart. Ito ‘yung masasabi kong unang film ko na direktor na direktor talaga ako. Kasi sa Revirginized, fan na fan ako ru’n ni Ms. Sharon Cuneta.”

At dahil nga originally for James Reid and Nadine Lustre ang Ang Manananggal Na Nahahati Ang Puso, may ginawa ba siyang changes or adjustments para mag-fit ang characters kina Aubrey at Marco?

“Ang sa akin lang, noong hindi natuloy sina James, I need a Filipina looking girl and Filipino with a foreign blood.

“So, kung mapapansin n’yo, doon lang din naman lumapag, sakto naman kay Marco at kay Aubrey, not because I wanted someone to look like James or Nadine, but because the story needs a barrio lass which is the character of Giniper and a half-Filipino foreigner, because ‘yun po ang kuwento, na galing siya sa ibang bansa.

“Ang ini-adjust ko lang po roon, ‘yung isa, originally galing ng UK, heto naman ‘yung character galing sa Italy, because of Marco.”

Follow-up namin, kung natuloy sana si James, kakayanin kaya nito ang ‘butt exposure’ o may iba siyang ipagagawa?

“I can’t answer if James will do it,” sagot ni Direk Darryl.

“Pero that’s the beauty when you get to cast non-superstars. They are more courageous and open to the things that the script requires.

“And they are not bound by sponsor clauses. Kasi ‘pag meron ka nang maraming commercials, medyo kumplikado na ang kontrata.

“Siguro, nagpapasalamat din ako at ang mga fans ni Marco dahil natuloy ang pelikulang ito at sa kanya nag-land. At natuloy ang script ko na kailangang ipakita ang difference ng very conservative Siquijodnon girl and a liberated Italian half-Pinoy Giuseppe.”

Medyo nairita naman si Direk Darryl sa mga nag-aakusa na nakiki-ride on daw sila sa JaDine.

Tugon niya, “Just to set the record clear, I myself — kaya ako nasasabihan na mayabang because I’m always straight to the point — we don’t need any fandom to actually promote a movie.”

Sapat na raw ang milyun-milyong followers ng viral YouTubers na Beks Battalion na binubuo nina Chad Kinis, MC Calaquian at Lassy Marquez, bukod pa sa kanyang six million followers ng VinCentiments sa FB at YouTube at ipinagmamalaki nga ang ipinakitang kahusayan nina Marco at Aubrey, na ‘pag nabigyan talaga ng projects ay sisikat daw ang dalawa.

Kasama rin sa movie si Teresa Loyzaga at may special participation sina Gina Pareño at Johnny Revilla.

Puring-puri ng mga netizens ang inilabas na video ng Miss Universe-Philippines kung saan ipinakilala nila ang naggagandahang 28 candidates na suot ang kani-kanilang national costume na gawa ng magagaling at world-class designers ng bansa at ang tema nito ay “Manila Carnival Queen”.

Ayon sa FB post ng MUP, “This year’s National Costume theme is a celebration of a bygone era of elegance and sophistication—the Manila Carnival Queens. They are the first Filipina beauty queens whose names are still remembered by historians and pageant aficionados. Their images wearing elaborate and intricate costumes live on in black and white photos (if you notice the song titled Kulay).

“So we wanted to bring these back to life and imagine how they would have looked today. Our delegates’ costumes are all masterfully created for them by world-class Filipino designers. It showcases the Filipina beauty, heritage, and artistry interpreted in modern, traditional, and avant-garde ways. Sa latest post ni Angel Locsin, may mahaba siyang paliwanag tungkol sa huling post na nag-viral dahil sa mga pictures na parang bigla-bigla siyang pumayat.

Nagtalu-talo nga ang mga netizens kung edited ba ang kanyang ipinost at may nagsabi na nasa tamang anggulo lang ‘yun.

Pero totoo naman na malaki na talaga ang ipinayat ni Angel at ginagawa talaga niya ‘yun at nagpupursige para sa kanyang health and preparation na rin sa pagkakaroon nila ng anak ng asawang si Neil Arce.

Ipinakita niya na meron pa siyang bilbil at nilagyan niya ito ng smiley face at may caption na, “Hello everyone! About my recent post that became viral, first, I want to say that knowing how to pose the right way can help you look slimmer. I think everyone who posts OOTD’s or watched Top Model knows this.

“So for those struggling to lose that extra weight, please don’t feel pressured. I tell you that I understand that it’s not easy, having been fighting weight gain for years.
