PCSO Distributes Nine (9) Patient Transport Vehicles to Various Recipients

Mandaluyong City. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) released nine (9) units of Patient Transport Vehicles (PTV) to various Government Hospitals and Local Government Units on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the Conservatory Building, Shaw Boulevard Mandaluyong City.

The recipients are as follows: the Magsingal District Hospital of Ilocos Sur; Salcedo District Hospital of Ilocos Sur; Bessang Pass Cervantes District Hospital of Ilocos Sur; Municipality of San Lorenzo Ruiz, Camarines Norte; Mercedes, Eastern Samar; Sapad, Lanao del Norte; Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte; Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lanao del Norte; and Quinapondan, Eastern Samar.

Present during the activity were the AGM for Charity Sector Remeliza Jovita Gabuyo, Manager of the Charity Assistance Department Muriel G. Pajarillo, Financial Analyst III Maria Lourdes Rayos, Financial Analyst III Teresita Patiag and Accounting Specialist I Joseph P. Porto.

Vice Mayor Leo Jasper M. Candido of the Municipality of Quinapondan Eastern Samar, one of the recipients of the donated PTV, expressed his gratitude saying “Madami kaming mga barangay na malayo sa bayan at mapapabilis nito ang pagpapadala ng mga pasyente sa ospital. Dahil sa mga PTV na ito mas mabilis namin madadala sa Tacloban Leyte ang mga pasyente na hindi kaya ng ospital namin. Nagpapasalamat po kami kay Chairman Anselmo Pinili at sa

PCSO na napili ang bayan namin mabigyan ng PTV, maraming maraming salamat po!”

Another recipient, the Municipality of Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lanao del Norte Mayor Motalib M. Dimaporo represented by Administrative Aide IV Demetrio Jr. Q. Engracia stated,

“Maraming salamat kay Chairman Anselmo Pinili sa pag bigay ng PTV na ito. Malaking tulong ito sa lungsod namin lalo na ngayong pandemic, nangangailangan kami ng mga sasakyan. Thank you po!”

From the Municipality of San Lorenzo Ruiz Camarines Norte Mayor Nelson P. Delos Santos shared “Lubos pong nagpapa salamat sa PCSO dahil sa natanggap namin na Patient Transport Vehicle, malaking tulong ito sa bayan namin na isang 5th class municipality na nangangailangan ng ganitong ayuda, maraming maraming salamat po!”

PCSO has been offering various charitable services to the public from the proceeds of its gaming operations, such as the Lottery games, Small Town Lottery and, Sweepstakes. With the public’s continuous support, PCSO aims to widen its reach to help more of our least fortunate brethren.

PAGCOR, PCSO lumagda sa paglalaan ng pondo para sa Universal Health Care

Hello, Bulgarians! Ang mga Pilipino ay maaari na ngayong magkaroon ng pantay na access sa mas de-kalidad at abot-kayang healthcare services pagkatapos na pormal na nilagdaan ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) at Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) noong Mayo 30, 2022, ang joint circular na nagpapatakbo ng kani-kanilang pondo para sa Universal Health Care (UHC).

Ang nasabing circular — na nagdetalye ng operational guidelines para sa dalawang ahensya na mag-remit ng pondo sa General Appropriations Act (GAA) bilang National Government Subsidy para sa pagpapabuti ng benefit packages ay nilagdaan ni PAGCOR Chairman at CEO Andrea Domingo at PCSO Chairperson Anselmo Simeon Pinili sa Punong tanggapan ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) Pasig City.

Sinamahan sila ng mga pangunahing opisyal mula sa DOH, Department of Finance (DOF) at PhilHealth.

Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni Domingo na ang kontribusyon ng PAGCOR ay nakatalaga sa pagbuo ng bansa, tulad ng P65.55 bilyong remittances sa National Treasury mula 2019 hanggang 2021. Limampung porsyento ng nasabing halaga ang inilaan sa PhilHealth para pondohan ang UHC law.

“This means we have already given almost P33 billion for healthcare from 2019 to 2021, and I think it would greatly help the UHC program now that consultations for primary care will be shouldered by PhilHealth,” paliwanag nya.

Sa kanyang bahagi, sinabi ni Pinili na ang UHC remittance guidelines na nilagdaan ng PAGCOR at PCSO ay magkatuwang na naglalayong magbigay ng mga mekanismo para sa transparent, accountable, timely at sustainable fund provision para sa pagpapabuti ng mga benepisyo ng National Health Insurance Program (NHIP).

“With our sustained funding support for Malasakit Centers and the Universal Health Care, the PCSO Board hopes to make our state-run lotteries closer and relevant to the lives of the Filipino people, in support of President Rodrigo Duterte’s vision and initiatives to make health for all Filipinos a reality,” ipinahayag niya.

Kabilang sa mga benepisyong mapapabuti sa pagsangguni sa PAGCOR at PCSO ay ang mga piling medikal at surgical procedure; pagpapalawak ng mga rate para sa hemodialysis case hanggang 156 session; pagpapahusay ng mga benefit packages para sa mga piling orthopedic implants, post kidney transplant, breast cancer, prostate cancer, cervical cancer, open heart surgery para sa mga bata at physical medicine at rehabilitasyon.

Sa ilalim ng UHC law o Republic Act 11223, kalahati ng bahagi ng pambansang pamahalaan mula sa kita ng PAGCOR, gayundin ang 40 porsiyento ng charity fund ng PCSO ay dapat gamitin para pondohan ang programa.

Ang UHC law, na nilagdaan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong Pebrero 2019, ay awtomatikong nag-enroll sa lahat ng mamamayang Pilipino, kabilang ang mga overseas Filipino worker sa PhilHealth, na magkakaroon ng pinalawak na saklaw upang isama ang mga libreng bayad sa konsultasyon, mga pagsusuri sa laboratoryo at iba pang mga diagnostic na serbisyo.

Ang kinakailangang pondo para sa nasabing pagpapalawak ng benepisyo ay ilalabas sa PhilHealth sa pamamagitan ng GAA simula sa 2023.
