MRT-3: Mas malamig at mas mabilis na tren para sa mga pasahero sa unang araw ng libreng sakay

Mas malamig at mas mabilis na tren ang mararanasan ng mga commuter sa unang araw ng libreng sakay sa Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) ngayong Lunes, March 28.

Nauna nang inanunsiyo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang month-long na libreng sakay sa inagurasyon ng MRT-3 rehabilitation project.

“Today, passengers enjoy cooler, aside from faster MRT-3 rides as all train cars have also been installed with new and 100% functioning air conditioning units,” ayon sa pahayag ng MRT-3 management.

“The FREE RIDE program of MRT-3 is launched with this objective of showcasing the improved services of the rail line, in order to gain back the public confidence in our mass transportation system,” dagdag nito.

Magtatagal ang libreng sakay hanggang April 30, na naglalayong makabawas sa gastusin sa mga pasahero sa gitna ng pagtaas ng presyo ng petrolyo at mga pangunahing bilihin.

Samantala, idineploy na ng MRT-3 ang kauna-unahang four-car train set nito na kayang magsakay hanggang 1,576 na pasahero, ngayong Lunes.

Libre ang sakay sa Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) mula sa Marso 28 hanggang Abril 30, 2022, ayon kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ngayong Martes.

“I’d like to announce, (Department of Transportation) Secretary Art Tugade and I, we decided that the MRT-3 rides will be free from March 28 to April 30, 2022,” pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte sa ginanap na seremonya para sa completion ng MRT-3 Rehabilitation Project na pinondohan ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas at ng Japan International Cooperation Agency.

Magdiriwang naman si Pangulong Duterte ng kanyang kaarawan sa Marso 28. Ang MRT-3 ay tumatakbo mula North Avenue sa Quezon City hanggang Taft Avenue sa Pasay City.

“I am pleased to join you today for the timely rehabilitation completion ceremony of the MRT-3. It is proof that we are keeping our momentum in improving our national road system, which aims to deliver quality service to the Filipino people, and respond to the emergence of the new normal,” ani P-Duterte.

Pinasalamatan din ng Pangulo ang Japanese government sa kanilang ibinigay na assistance para sa proyekto. “Our train system would not have returned to its original high grade design condition without the technical competencies and professional aid of our service providers from Sumitomo Corp. and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries,” saad ng Punong Ehekutibo.

“With the joint efforts of these companies and the DOTr, we’ve increased our train speed from 25 km/ hour to 60[km]/hour, while the time interval between train arrivals has improved to 8 to 10 minutes,” sabi ng Pangulo.

Mula sa 12 hanggang 15 operating train units kada araw, ayon kay Pangulong Duterte mayroon nang 18 hanggang 22 train units na available sa ngayon. “This progress will decrease, if not altogether, stop the number of unloading incidents in our stations,” dagdag pa niya.

Kabilang din sa nakumpletong rehabilitation project ay ang upgraded signaling, communications at CCTV systems, repair ng lahat ng station escalators at elevators, at ang matagumpay na instalasyon ng air conditioning units sa loob ng mga tren.

Shaw Blvd. station’s Building A entry at exit points, sarado ng Marso 21-22 — MRT3

Inianunsiyo ng pamunuan ng Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3) ngayong Linggo na pansamantalang isasara ang Building A entry at exit points ng Shaw Boulevard Station mula Marso 21 hanggang Marso 22 (Lunes at Martes) para sa mga gagawing aktibidad ng pagsasaayos nito.

Batay sa advisory mula sa opisina ni MRT3 director for operations Engineer Michael Capati, ang entry at exit points na partikular na apektado ng improvement activities ay ang bahagi ng EDSA Shangri-La at ang mga gilid ng Starmall.

Ayon kay Engr. Capati, layon ng naturang aktibidad ay upang pagandahin ang mga pasilidad para sa mas maayos na serbisyo at maginhawa rin sa mga commuters.

Payo naman ng MRT3 management sa mga commuters na gamitin muna ang entry at exit points sa Building B ng Greenfield Pavilion at ng Parklea Center sides.
