CHIKAREKARAMEN

For 2 Pax

Ingredients:

½ Pack Rice Noodles

Boneless Chicken Thighs (2pcs)

Chicken Stock (1 Liter or 4 cups)

Chicken Cube (1pc)

Peanut Butter (1 cup)

Minced Garlic (1tbsp)

Chopped Onions (½ cup)

Chopped String Beans (½ cup)

Small Sliced Eggplant

Pechay (1pc)

Chopped Cilantro (¼)

Annatto seeds (1tsp)

Oil 1tbsp

Cornstarch (2tbsp)

Fish Sauce (3tbsp)

Sugar (1tbsp)

Bagoong (1tbsp)

Salt & Pepper to taste

Procedure:

Make the sauce

Put oil in a casserole and fry the annatto seeds for 1 minute.

Strain the annatto seeds and place back the annatto oil into the casserole.

Sauté the garlic and onions until fragrant for 2 minutes.

Add the peanut butter, chicken cube, fish sauce, sugar, and chicken stock. Mix well until combined.

Let it simmer and set aside.

For Toppings

Place the rice noodles in a bowl covered with cold water.

In a saute pan, fry the sliced eggplant until medium brown.

Season the chicken thighs w/ salt & pepper then dredge it w/ cornstarch. Pan fry until fully cooked.

In a boiling water, blanch the string beans and set aside.

Cook the noodles in the boiling water for 4 minutes until al dente, set aside.

Plating your bowl:

Place the noodles in two separate bowls.

Add the kare-kare soup until it reaches the top of the noodles.

Place the chicken, vegetables and bagoong on the top of the noodles.

Sprinkle cilantro on top.

Nanganak na ang aktres na si Coleen Garcia sa second child nila ng asawang si Billy Crawford na si Austin.

Nag-share sa Instagram (IG) ang aktres ng mga larawan at video na nagpapakita ng masaya at kumpletong pamilya nila sa loob ng hospital pagkatapos ipanganak si Baby Austin.

Caption niya: “On August 17, we welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Austin, into the world. And it was the experience of a lifetime. The plan was another water birth—this time in @stlukesmedicalcenter.

“We decided to go to the hospital when I was already in active labor, but after getting checked, we thought it was gonna take a lot longer since my water hadn’t broken yet, I was only 3 cm dilated, and contractions weren’t painful or uncomfortable despite being so close together for hours. I was still walking around, killing time, feeling totally normal. After some time, they did start to get painful. I was then brought to the delivery room right away.

“When we got to the room, I stood up from the wheelchair, took a couple of steps toward the bed, then suddenly felt a tiny urge to push while I was still standing. I did once, just a little, for relief—until I felt his head coming out. I had to stop mid-push and say the baby was coming! My mom quickly got down to check, and true enough, part of his head was already out! On the next push, he slipped out so quickly that she was the one who caught him!

“In just two quick, silent, and surprisingly painless pushes, he was born EN CAUL straight into her arms. It all happened so fast—I was supposed to get an IE, dim the lights, play some music, soak in the tub. Instead, I gave birth like two minutes after entering the delivery room. I was still standing there in the same spot, looking down at everything, everyone in the room completely shookt—and all I could say was: ‘Well… that happened.’ I was laughing about it, while my mom was stunned and holding the baby in disbelief.

“My first birth caught me off guard and left me with some trauma because I didn’t know what to expect. This birth was the opposite. I was prepared with things I packed but never used, techniques I didn't really have the time to apply, and plans that didn't unfold the way I imagined. Both births were special and beautiful in their own ways, and God carried me through each of those journeys just as He always does. I felt His presence all throughout, and it shielded me from fear and anxiety, reminding me once again that His plan is always greater than mine.”

Pabirong sinang-ayunan naman ni Aiah ang comment ni Esnyr. 

Saad niya, “Sorry ipinost kita, dapat pala nagpaalam muna ako.”

TOTOO ang kasabihan na ang pag-aasawa ay suwertehan din. At isa na nga sa mga pinalad na magkaroon ng asawang maka-Diyos at super mapagmahal ay si Angeli Valenciano, ang maybahay ng singer na si Gary Valenciano.

Nag-share si Gary sa kanyang social media account ng larawan nilang mag-asawa at may kalakip na pagbati para sa kaarawan ng kanyang loving wife na si Angeli Pangilinan Valenciano.

Sey ni Gary, “Hey, Hon. What would my world have been like without you? Perhaps it may have ended sometime ago. I know it sometimes gets tough for us to journey through life together, but I’m blessed to have been journeying with you for the past 41 years.

Sa social media post ng aktres na si Yasmien Kurdi ay nagbahagi siya ng larawan suot ang pulang gown na bagay na bagay sa kanya. Walang makapagsasabi na ‘yung gown ay 21 taon nang nakatago sa baul ni Yasmien, at ito rin ang gown na suot niya noong StarStruck’s Judgement Night.

Si Yasmien ay ipinanganak noong January 25, 1989. Siya ay 36 years old na, at ‘yung mahiwagang gown na suot niya 21 taon na ang nakararaan, ibig sabihin lang ay 15 years old pa lang si Yasmien noong una niyang isuot.

Infernes (read: in fairness) kay Yasmien, ang ganda pa rin ng gown na buong-puso niyang ipinagmalaki na kahit hindi na bago ay pak na pak pa rin sa kanya at mas lalong nakita ang hugis ng katawan nito at ‘di mo maiisip na may dalawa na siyang anak—sina Ayesha Zara at Raya Layla.

Saad ni Yasmien sa post niya, “Do you remember this gown? (teary-eyed face emoji) This is the very same gown I wore during StarStruck’s Judgement Night 21 years ago! You might even catch a glimpse of it in the opening and closing scenes of GMA’s Station ID on TV.

“For GMA’s 75th Anniversary, I wanted to do something meaningful, a quiet tribute to everything this network has given me. That’s why I went back to the one and only Sir JC Buendia to have this gown upcycled. It was such a warm and nostalgic moment catching up with him after so many years. Ang galing ng ginawa n’yo sa gown… akala ko forever na siya sa cabinet ko (laughing face emoji). Magagamit ko pala ulit. BALIK-CONCERT ang the one and only Fiery Soul Torch Diva at aktres na si Malu Barry.

Siniguro ng singer na si Malu na nakapagpahinga siya nang husto bago maganap ang concert para handang-handa siya sa pagkanta.

Kagagaling lang ni Malu sa Stage 3 cancer, at sa awa ng Panginoong Diyos ay napagaling siya sa malubhang sakit.

Wala nang sinasayang na panahon si Malu, kaya naman balik-concert siya at ang title ng concert niya ay One & Only Ms. Malu Barry with special guest Martin Lina, this coming August 20, 2025, at 8:30 ng gabi na gaganapin sa Janealo Bay Café sa Roxas Blvd. cor. South Drive, Manila, in front of Rizal Park Hotel.
