Nag-share ng latest update si Angelica Panganiban sa kanyang Instagram (IG) after a major hip surgery.

Muling nagpaopera ng kanyang balakang si Angelica para gamutin ang kanyang avascular necrosis.

Ayon sa mga experts, ang avascular necrosis is “the death of bone tissue due to a lack of blood supply”.

Sa kanyang latest IG post kahapon, isang short video ang mapapanood kung saan makikitang nakakalabas na ng bahay si Angelica at nagte-therapy.

Caption ni Angelica, “Recovering from a hip replacement varies from person to person. Minsan mabilis, minsan matagal.

“With @thephysiarephysicaltherapy naging madali recovery ko from surgery. Even before my operation, na-recommend na s’ya sa ‘kin ng ortho ko.

“Malaking tulong to strengthen my body to get ready sa major surgery ko. After 4 days post op, nakalakad na ‘ko without walker, PALAKPAKAN (laugh emoji).”

Nag-comment ang celebrity friends ni Angelica sa development ng kanyang ipinaoperang  balakang.

Say ng best friend niya na si Glaiza de Castro, “Hipbam!!!”

“Tinde mo! Heal well, Mama,” comment ni Ryan Agoncillo.

BY this time, tapos na ni Elijah Canlas i-shoot ang biopic ng Martial Law activist na si Edgar “Ed” Jopson, ang Edjop sa direksiyon ni Katski Flores.

Si Elijah ang gumanap bilang bata at nagkaeded na si Ed Jopson sa pelikula.

Kuwento ni Elijah nu’ng makausap namin sa  QCinema International Film Festival mediacon, “Papunta na kami sa last stretch and uh, mahaba-habang proseso siya. Dahil nga, of course, it’s an independent movie.”

Ang Edjop ay ipinrodyus ni Joyette Jopson, anak ni Ed Jopson, na ginampanan ng aktres na si Jodi Sta. Maria sa biopic.

“Kaya, it takes a while and it takes a lot of  challenges, and you really have to climb a mountain to finish a film like this,” pahayag ni Elijah.

Dagdag pa niya, “But, everyone in this whole team down to the crew, down to the utility. We’re all very passionate about the message and the story. So, excited ako. Uh, pero malapit na. Last push, last push.”

Para kay Elijah, dream come true ang pagganap niya bilang si Ed Jopson sa pelikula.

“Honestly po, a dream come true talaga. I remember growing up studying about Edjop and even Lian Alejandro. Sabi ko, dream role ko ‘yan to portray, to act especially nu’ng Martial Law era.

“But, ginawa kong thesis noon sa Theater (UP Theater) si Lian Alejandro. So, sabi ko, gusto ko si Lian Alejandro.

“Tapos nu’ng ibinigay si Edjop, sabi ko, ‘Edjop is also a legend,’ you know. Bayani rin talaga si Edjop. So, nag-yes agad ako,” sabi pa ni Elijah.

Ang QCinema 12 ay gaganapin on November 8 to 17. Mapapanood ito sa mga piling sinehan tulad ng Gateway Cineplex 18, Ayala Malls Cinema sa Trinoma, Red Carpet sa Shangri-La Plaza, at Powerplant Mall.

Speaking of former VP Leni Robredo, nagbigay din pala ng halagang P3 milyong donasyon sa kanyang Angat Buhay Foundation ang TV host na si Willie Revillame para sa relief efforts sa mga nasalanta ng Bagyong Kristine.

May lumabas naman sa X (dating Twitter) ng diumano’y conversation between Leni and Willie.

“Leni: Ipapa-send ko na lang ang resibo.

Willie: Hindi, kahit wala na.

Leni: Bawal 'yun sa amin, eh. Kasi ina-account po namin lahat.”

Siyempre, maraming hanash ang mga netizens sa palitan ng dialogue nina Leni at

Viral sa social media (socmed) ang video ng It’s Showtime (IS) host na si Anne Curtis habang namimigay ng regalo sa mga members ng all-female P-pop group na BINI.

It’s Anne’s way for sure of saying “thank you” sa mga members ng BINI after nilang mag-perform sa Team ATJ (Anne, Teddy Corpuz and Jugs Jugueta) sa Magpasikat 2024 sa IS last Thursday. 

Sobrang natuwa naman ang BINI sa pasabog na surprise sa kanila ni Anne na Tiffany & Co. (jewelry) gift.

Biglang na-miss ng mga netizens ang aktres na si Angel Locsin sa kasagsagan ng pananalanta ng Bagyong Kristine sa bansa. 

Para kasi sa ibang mga netizens ay isang Darna talaga sa totoong buhay si Angel. Hindi lang daw kasi maaasahan sa pagtulong ang aktres kundi napakaagap pa.

Saanman may nangangailangan ng tulong, darating si Angel at mauuna pa sa pag-aabot ng ayuda kesa sa mga LGUs at matataas na opisyal ng bansa.

ANOTHER ‘feather on his cap’ ang pagkakapili kay Cannes Best Director awardee Brillante Mendoza bilang head ng jury sa 29th edition ng Rabat International Film Festival (RIFF) sa Morocco.
