PhilHealth at DICT, nagkasundo para sa mas maayos na digitalization system

Hello, Bulgarians! Lumagda kamakailan ng isang Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) ang Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) at Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) upang magkaroon ng synchronized at well-coordinated ICT system at mas matiyak ang integration, interoperability at interconnection ng systems at applications ng dalawang ahensya.

Dahil sa nasabing kasunduan, inaasahang mapapabuti ang serbisyo ng PhilHealth sa 111 milyong Pilipino nasaan man sila sa mundo.

Sa ilalim ng partnership, susuriin ng DICT ang kasalukuyang sistema ng PhilHealth para makapagbigay ng rekomendasyon at istratehiya para mapagbuti pa ang ICT system ng nasabing ahensya.

“Maraming proseso at serbisyo ang PhilHealth na kailangan ng computerization at digitalization upang lalong maging mabilis at kasiya-siya sa lahat ng Filipino. Isa ito sa mga plano na inilahad namin kay President Bongbong Marcos Jr. Hindi namin bibiguin ang Pangulo at ang lahat ng kababayan natin”, ani ni PhilHealth Chief Emmanuel R. Ledesma, Jr. Nagpasalamat din siya sa DICT team sa pangunguna ni Sec. Ivan John Uy at Usec. David Almirol, Jr. para sa kanilang suporta sa PhilHealth digital transformation plan.

Sinabi naman ni Sec. Uy na ang kasunduan ay maituturing na “milestone in terms of e-governance” dahil ito ay tutugon sa matagal nang hamon ng pagdi-digitize ng public health care. Dagdag pa ni Uy, makakatulong ang naturang partnership sa pagbibigay ng mas mabuting serbisyo at pagpapadali ng paggamit ng benepisyong PhilHealth.

SM Cares at DOTr, naglunsad ng "Share the Road" video campaign

Hello, Bulgarians! Inilunsad kamakailan ng SM Cares at ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) ang kanilang pinagsamang kampanyang "Share the Road" na naglalayong turuan ang mga stakeholder ng road transport sa kahalagahan ng pagbabahagi ng kalsada. Ang paglulunsad ay ginanap noong Marso 6 sa SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, Pasay City.

Kabilang sa mga dumalo sa kaganapan ay sina DOTr Sec. Jaime Bautista, DOTr Usec. for Road Transport and Infrastructure Atty. Mark Steven Pastor, SM Prime Holdings, Inc. Executive Committee Chairman Hans Sy, SM Supermalls President Steven Tan, at SM Supermalls Senior Vice President for Operations Engr. Bien Mateo. Dumalo rin ang mga kinatawan mula sa iba't-ibang aktibong transport group, kabilang ang transport advocacy group Move as One Coalition's co-convener Dr. Robbie Siy.

Ang "Share the Road" campaign ay isang kampanya na naglalayong isulong ang kultura sa pagbabahagi ng kalsada sa mga Filipino, anuman ang kanilang gustong paraan ng transportasyon. Nakasentro ito sa isang video na naghahatid ng mga guidelines at road safety tips sa paraang masaya at madaling maunawaan, na isinasalaysay ni Kim Atienza.

“From respecting road rules, to understanding that everyone has the same rights as us, there are a number of things that we need to remember so we can enable a culture of sharing the road," saad ni Tan.

"We need every Filipino to adopt and accept the mindset that every cyclist, every pedestrian, has an equal share on the road," saad ni Usec. Pastor. "More importantly, we need private sector partners like SM to help us expand our horizon, to help us make people understand what we're trying to achieve. The culture should change now."

"This event shall reaffirm the Department's partnership with SM to intensify and strengthen our information and education campaign for the benefit and empowerment of active transport users across the country," pahayag ni Sec. Bautista.

Pagpapaliban ng 2023 Contribution Hike, aprub sa Pag-IBIG Board

Hello, Bulgarians! Kamakailan ay opisyal na inaprubahan ng Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees ang pagpapaliban ng ahensya sa pagtaas ng kontribusyon ngayong 2023, dahil sa patuloy na pagbawi ng mga manggagawa at may-ari ng negosyo mula sa pandemya.

“We recognize that many of our members and employers are still in the midst of recovering from financial challenges arising from the effects of the pandemic on the economy. After consulting with our stakeholders, we have officially approved the deferment of the increase of Pag-IBIG members’ monthly contributions for another year. This is in line with the call of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. to alleviate the financial burden of our fellow Filipinos due to the prevailing socio-economic challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic,” pahayag ni Secretary Jose Rizalino L. Acuzar, namumuno sa Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) at 11-member Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees.

Noong 2019, inaprubahan ng mga opisyal ng ahensya ang pagtaas ng buwanang kontribusyon ng mga miyembro nito matapos makuha ang pagsang-ayon ng mga stakeholder para ipatupad ang nakaplanong pagtaas ng kontribusyon sa 2021. Sa panahong ‘yun, nakita ng ahensya na kailangan ang pagtaas dahil inaasahan nito na ang halaga ng mga nailabas na pautang ay maaaring malampasan ang kabuuang mga koleksyon mula sa parehong mga pagbabayad ng loan at mga kontribusyon ng mga miyembro.

Gayunman, dahil sa mga epekto ng pandemya sa mga miyembro at sa kahilingan ng business community sa pangunguna ng Employers’ Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) na isaalang-alang ang kanilang kalagayan, ipinagpaliban ng Pag-IBIG Fund sa ikatlong magkakasunod na taon ang pagtaas ng mga rate ng kontribusyon na nananatiling hindi nagbabago mula noong 1986.

Ayon kay Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta, ang matatag na katayuan ng ahensya at malakas na koleksyon na naghihimok sa mga miyembrong magtipid sa ilalim ng Regular at MP2 Savings programs, ay magbibigay-daan sa ahensya upang matugunan ang lumalaking pangangailangan sa pautang ng mga miyembro kahit walang pagtaas ng kontribusyon sa taong ito.

“Our strong financial position shall allow us to again postpone the increase in our contribution rates for a year. We are happy to report that even without any increase in our rates, we were able to post record-highs in 2022 with our membership savings collections reaching nearly P80 billion, loan payment collections amounting to P127.42 billion, short-term loan releases at 57.69 billion and home loan takeout amounting to P117.85 billion. And, with the continued trust and support of our members, the business community and housing industry partners, we look forward to achieving another banner year for Pag-IBIG Fund in 2023 despite not increasing our contribution rates for the 37th consecutive year,” sabi ni Acosta.
