Inihayag ni United States President Joe Biden na nakatakdang dumalo ang isang US presidential delegation sa inagurasyon ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa Huwebes, Hunyo 30, 2022.

Sa isang statement ng White House, nakasaad na si US Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff ang mangunguna sa delegasyon.

Bukod kay Emhoff, ang mga sumusunod na delegation members na dadalo sa inauguration ni Marcos ay sina:

• Heather Variava, Chargé d’Affaires, ad interim, US Embassy Manila.

• Bobby Scott, Chairman of the Committee on Education and Labor, United States Representative (D), Virginia.

• Nani A. Coloretti, Deputy Director, Office of Management and Budget.

• Admiral James “Sandy” A. Winnefeld, Jr. (Ret.), Former Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

• Edgard D. Kagan, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for East Asia and Oceania, National Security Council.

• Chantale Y. Wong, US Director of the Asian Development Bank.

Gaganapin ang oathtaking ni Marcos sa National Museum of the Philippines, kung saan mahigit sa 15,000 security personnel ang kanilang ide-deploy.

Sa inagurasyon ni Marcos.. Hunyo 30, idineklarang special non-working holiday sa Manila

Idineklara ni outgoing Manila Mayor Isko Moreno ang Hunyo 30, Huwebes, na isang special non-working holiday ang lungsod ng Maynila para sa inagurasyon ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

Sa isang advisory nitong Huwebes, nakasaad na nilagdaan ni Moreno ang Executive Order No. 53 na nagdedeklara bilang special non-working holiday ang Hunyo 30 sa Manila City, “to ensure the safety, security, and protection of participants [in Marcos’ inauguration].”

Manunumpa si Marcos bilang ika-17 pangulo ng Pilipinas sa Hunyo 30, na gaganapin sa National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) sa Ermita, Manila.

“The City Government of Manila, in coordination with the concerned agencies of the national government, has to close various thoroughfares in and around the perimeter of the inaugural venue, which will undeniably affect the flow of traffic of both motorists and the riding public,” batay sa order.

“It is but fitting and proper that all citizens of the country, in general, and residents of the City of Manila, in particular, be given full opportunity to witness and welcome this significant event in the life of the nation,” ayon pa sa order.

P-BBM, pamumunuan ang Dept. of Agriculture

Pamumunuan ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa ngayon ang Department of Agriculture (DA) sa isang concurrent capacity kapag naupo nang pangulo sa Hunyo 30.

“As to agriculture, I think that the problem is severe enough that I have decided to take on the portfolio of Secretary of Agriculture, at least for now and at least until we can reorganize the Department of Agriculture in the way that will make it ready for the next years to come,” pahayag ni Marcos sa isang news conference ngayong Lunes.

“Marami tayong mga kailangan palitan. Marami tayong mga, medyo mga iba’t ibang opisina na hindi na masyadong nagagamit o kailangan nang i-retool para sa post-pandemic, dahil nga iba na ‘yung ating ginagawa ngayon,” sabi ni P-BBM.

“We’re going back to basics, and we will rebuild the value chain of agriculture. That is why I though it is important that the President take that portfolio so that not only to make it clear to everyone what a high priority we put on the agricultural sector, but also as a practical matter so that things move quickly because the events of the global economy are moving very quickly,” paliwanag ni Marcos.

Una nang sinabi ni P-BBM na ang seguridad sa pagkain, ang prayoridad ng kanyang administrasyon. Sa ilalim ng Constitution ay nakasaad na ang pangulo, “has the mandate of control over all the executive departments, bureaus, and offices, [which covers the] restructuring, reconfiguring, and appointments of their respective officials.”

Noong nakaraang taon, ang SINAG at iba pang agri groups ay nanawagan kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para sa pagsasalarawan ng passage ng Rice Tariffication Law bilang isa sa mga achivements ng kanyang administrasyon.

Ayon kay Rosendo So, chairman ng SINAG, ang presyo ng bigas nang panahong iyon ay tumaas sa kabila ng tinatawag na liberalized rice imports.

Nang tanungin siya hinggil sa pagsusulong ng F2F classes sa Agosto, ani VP Sara, “We are targeting that, yes.”

“We’ll look at how we’ll be able to push that from the other accomplishments [of the department],” pahayag niya nang tanungin naman patungkol sa panawagang itaas ang sahod ng mga guro.

“Actually, the Duterte administration did do something about that,” saad pa ni VP Sara, kung saan aniya, may salary increase na P23,877 mula sa dating P19,077.

Ang entry-level teacher o Teacher 1, ay nasasakop sa ilalim ng Salary Grade 11 at makatatanggap ng monthly salary na P25,439.
