Isasailalim sa lockdown ang building ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa Pasay City matapos magpositibo sa COVID-19 ang ilang opisyal, ayon kay Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr.

Inanunsiyo ni Locsin ang naturang balita sa sagot niya sa tweet ni US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken kaugnay ng pinag-usapan nila tungkol sa “US-Philippine Alliance.” Saad ni Blinken, “I had a great conversation today with @teddyboylocsin. We'll continue to build upon the strong U.S.-Philippine Alliance with our shared interests, history, values, and strong people-to-people ties. #FriendsPartnersAllies.”

Tugon naman ni Locsin, “Great conversation. Will get a lot done soon. Sadly I must quarantine. I’m negative but the building and officers I met yesterday tested positive.

We’re going into lockdown ‘til Tuesday when we test again. Again thank you for the call. Please tell your President what I said.” Samantala, hindi binanggit ni Locsin kung ilang opisyal ng DFA ang nagpositibo sa COVID-19.

‘Pinas, tumanggap ng 100 ventilators galing US

Tumanggap ang Pilipinas ng 100 new ventilators galing sa United States para sa pakikibaka ng bansa laban sa COVID-19 pandemic.

Si US Ambassador Sung Kim ang nag-turn over ng mga ventilators kay Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea nitong Biyernes. Naroon din si Health Secretary Francisco Duque III.

Post pa ni Kim sa Twitter, "Proud to deliver 100 brand-new, state-of-the-art ventilators to Philippine government. Part of our strong support for Philippines’ #COVID19 response, these life-saving ventilators were made specifically for our #FriendsPartnersAllies.

Nagpasalamat din si Duque sa US at aniya, “Thank you to the US Government through USAID, its Misssion Director Lawrence Hardy II and U.S. Ambassador Sung Kim for your generous donation to the Philippines. 100 brand-new and state-of-the-art ventilators and accompanying supplies are on their way to our COVID19 hospitals.”
