Suspendido ang klase sa ilang lugar sa bansa ngayong Miyerkules, Setyembre 8 dahil sa Severe Tropical Storm Jolina (Conson). Tinatayang nasa pitong beses nag-landfall si Jolina -- kung saan anim na beses bilang ganap na bagyo at isang severe tropical storm.


Narito ang ilan sa mga local government units (LGUs) na nagdeklarang walang pasok (online o face-to-face classes) sa kanilang lugar:

• San Juan City, Metro Manila – lahat ng levels (public at private)

• Batangas province – lahat ng levels (public at private)

• Cavite province – lahat ng levels (public at private)

• Laguna – lahat ng levels (public and private)

• Quezon province – lahat ng levels (public and private)

• Antipolo City, Rizal – lahat ng levels (public at private). Gayundin, ilang LGUs ang nag-anunsiyong suspendido ang kanilang government offices gaya ng Batangas, Laguna, Quezon Province.


Gayunman, ayon sa mga nabanggit na LGUs mananatiling operational ang kanilang health services, disaster response at iba pang kinakailangan serbisyo.


Samantala, nag-anunsiyo na rin ng kanselasyon ng kanilang klase sa Ateneo de Manila- pre-school, elementary, secondary levels at University of Santo Tomas - junior high school, Education high school, senior high school.


Patuloy naman na nagbibigay ng update ang iba pang LGUs hinggil sa suspensiyon ng klase at trabaho sa kanilang lugar dahil sa Severe Tropical Storm Jolina.

Suspendido nang isang buwan ang klase sa lahat ng antas, pampubliko at pribadong eskuwelahan, sa Marikina City simula ngayong araw, November 16 dahil sa matinding epekto ng pananalasa ng Bagyong Ulysses.


Ayon kay Mayor Marcelino Teodoro, “unstable” ang internet sa lungsod at nasira rin ang ilang modules ng mga estudyante dahil sa pagbaha matapos umapaw ang Marikina River. Aniya, “One-month suspension [of classes] from this week, starting today (November 16) and for the next four weeks.


“Paano makakapagklase iyong mga bata maski may module at gadget siya kung nakalubog sa putik ang kanyang paa habang nag-aaral?”


Ayon kay Teodoro, prayoridad sa lungsod ang clearing and cleaning operations at kung matatagalan pa ito at lalagpas nang isang buwan, may posibilidad umanong i-extend ang suspension ng klase. Aniya,


“We need to establish a proper environment. ‘Yun ang tingin ko na kailangang-kailangan nating gawin sa ngayon.”

Nagsuspinde ng klase ang ilang paaralan dahil sa naging epekto ng pananalasa ng Bagyong Ulysses sa ilang bahagi ng bansa.


Sa Twitter account ng , inanunsiyo na suspendido ang klase mula preschool hanggang senior high school, pampubliko at pribado simula November 16 hanggang 17.


Post ng Pasig City Public Information Office, “As recommended by our DepEd Division of City Schools, Mayor Vico has declared that classes from preschool to senior high school (both public and private), will remain SUSPENDED from November 16 to 17, 2020 (Monday and Tuesday). “Clearing operations continue in all barangays.


MERALCO is also in the process of restoring electricity throughout the city. “Those who are able to continue with their asynchronous classes and modules are encouraged to do so.” Nagsuspinde rin ng klase ang University of Santo Tomas simula November 16 hanggang 21.


Saad ng UST, “We, your Deans, Directors, and Principals have realized after our prayerful reflection that the policy we need to follow at this time is not a policy but virtue and compassion. “Therefore, in consideration of the requests from students and academic staff, we are suspending the synchronous and asynchronous classes from Nov. 16 to 21, 2020.


" Suspendido rin ang klase sa Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) simula November 16 hanggang 27. Anunsiyo ng PUP, “To allow students and faculty members to recover from the impact of Typhoon #UlyssesPH, PUP will be taking an academic break on ALL YEAR LEVELS in the MAIN CAMPUS, and ALL BRANCHES AND SATELLITE CAMPUSES, from November 16 to 27, 2020.


“This means that all synchronous and asynchronous activities will be suspended. Faculty members are also advised to move the deadlines of submissions of all academic requirements.


All academic activities shall resume on November 28, 2020. “Please note that in lieu of the consecutive suspension of classes, the administration will also be extending First Semester SY 2020-2021. Revised academic calendar will be posted ASAP.” Anila pa, “The PUP College of Law will only have the academic break until November 22, 2020.


College of Law’s asynchronous and synchronous activities will resume on November 23, 2020.” Wala ring pasok ang Kinder hanggang Senior High School sa Quezon City, pampubliko at pribadong paaralan, simula sa November 16 hanggang 17.


Anunsiyo ng QC Government, “As recommended by the DepEd Schools Division Office, Quezon City, Synchronous (online) classes from Kinder to Senior High School in public schools in Quezon City shall be suspended from November 16-17, 2020. Other modes of learning (asynchronous / printed modular) shall continue.


Maximum leniency shall be extended to all students in light of the damages brought about by the typhoon. “Private schools have the power to suspend classes upon their discretion as per DepEd NCR Advisory issued Nov 14, 2020.”
