James Jimenez, “As voter registration resumes on September 1, 2020, the Commission on Elections reminds the public of the modified registration procedure and protocols in light of the Covid-19 situation.

“Filing of applications will now be from Tuesdays to Saturdays, including holidays, from 8 AM to 3 PM, at the Office of the Election Officer (OEO). There will be no satellite voter registration.”

Saad pa ng COMELEC, “Before going to the COMELEC to register as a voter, the public is encouraged to download the application form from www.comelec.gov.ph and manually fill it out. However, the signature must be affixed before the Election Officer at the COMELEC office. Registrants are also encouraged to bring their own pens.”

“1. Wear face mask and face shield;

“2. Sanitize their hands and pass through the foot bath;

“3. Accomplish the Health Declaration Form with their own pens;

“4. Sign the application form using their own pens;

“5. Sanitize their hands before and after using the signature pen and fingerprint scanner;

“6. Take off their mask and shield only for photograph-taking during the capturing of biometrics data; and

“7. Leave the COMELEC premises at once after the transaction.”

Mahigpit ding ipatutupad ng COMELEC ang health and safety protocols na “No Face Mask and Face Shield, No Entry; limited number of registrants/transactions per day; physical/social distancing; checking of body temperature before entry; and sanitizing of hands and footwear.”
