Nagkausap na si Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong at ang head ng produksiyon ni Arjo Atayde na Feelmaking Productions na si Ellen Criste tungkol sa sinasabing lumabag sila sa health protocol na ipinatutupad ng gobyerno.

Sa pamamagitan ni Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Diño na nangangasiwa sa mga polisiya tungkol sa safety protocol concerning sa movie at audiovisual industry, nagkaroon ng paglilinaw sa magkabilang kampo na walang nilabag ang Feelmaking Productions, partikular si Arjo, na naunang bumaba ng Maynila para dumiretso sa hospital dahil nagpositibo siya sa COVID-19.

Ito rin ang paliwanag ng attending physician ni Arjo na si Dra. Claudette Guzman Mangahas na walang nilabag ang pasyente niya na taliwas sa panayam ni Mayor Magalong sa Regional News Group-Luzon nitong Agosto 17.

Sa panayam kay Dra. Claudette, “In the same way that emergency care personnel in an ambulance would accompany a COVID patient in PPE (personal protective equipment), I was also very clear with my instructions - and which they carefully followed - to have Arjo in the back of the car alone, his companions in front of the car, with all of them wearing masks with no removal and all the windows open, driving strictly from Baguio straight to our hospital.

"It is impossible for any doctor of any COVID patient to go ahead with decisions without considering the family because this really imposes a traumatic situation on everyone.

“On a personal note, Sylvia (Sanchez) and Art Atayde (mga magulang ni Arjo) both had COVID last March 2020, and Sylvia even suffered from complications of the medications.”

Sa panahong 'yun ay nagdelikado ang buhay ng aktres dahil nakaramdam ito ng heart block.

“COVID was a real scare for them, especially with the thought of leaving behind four children with their youngest only at 10 years old at that time if one of them didn't survive the virus.

"By then, Arjo was already experiencing difficulty in breathing besides fever and body malaise.

"I talked to Sylvia and told her she had two options: the first was a work up and possible admission at a Baguio hospital or a transfer to Manila for work up and possible admission, with the provisions I indicated earlier.

“She chose the second one because of his preexisting conditions of chronic sinusitis and asthma and her fear that should Arjo become critical, he is so far away and she wouldn't personally know the physician who will treat him.

“Please understand that (Sylvia) only acted as a mother in her decision. Having suffered from COVID themselves, they are the last persons who would wish that others will go through the same experience. So clearly, there was no intention to breach any protocol, and more so expose others to COVID.”

Naniniwala rin si Dra. Mangahas na kung hindi kilala si Arjo ay tiyak na walang kukuwestiyon sa naging desisyon ng pamilyang pauwiin ito ng Maynila.

"We had a patient recently flown in from Laoag to receive treatment here and there were no allegations regarding breach of protocols,” diin ng attending physician ni Arjo.

At dahil nagkaliwanagan na si Mayor Magalong at ang Feelmaking Production head ay anumang oras, makakabalik muli sila sa Baguio para tapusin ang ilang araw nilang shooting basta’t negatibo na silang lahat at magaling na si Arjo.

Pinatotohanan naman ito ni Ms. Liza Diño nu’ng tanungin namin kung okay na silang mag-shoot ulit.

“Yes, ok na. If they want to finish the films, he (Mayor Magalong) will allow,” aniya.

Pero siyempre, kailangang magpa-RT-PCR test ulit ang buong team para safe makaikot sa siyudad.

Sabi ni Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong ay iniwan ng aktor na si Arjo Atayde ang mga kasamahan nitong nagsu-shooting sa kanilang lugar para umuwi ng Maynila matapos magpositibo ng aktor at siyam pang kasamahan nito sa COVID-19.

Ayon sa alkalde, “Nag-positive 'yung isang grupo na nagsu-shooting dito, 'yung grupo nina Mr. Atayde.

“They committed to us na magkakaroon sila ng bubble, pero 'di nangyari. Nagkataon pala na may mga tao sila na umuuwi sa lugar, at pagbalik, hindi nagta-triage.

"Tapos 'yung monthly testing na commitment nila, hindi nagawa. So, heto nangyari ngayon. There are 10 people sa grupo nila ang nag-positive.”

Habang isinusulat namin ang balitang ito ay ka-chat namin ang isang film producer na kausap ang mga umano’y sinasabing iniwan ni Arjo at sinabing pabalik na sila ng Manila at diretso sila sa hotel quarantine.

Sabi pa na madalas daw magpa-test ang buong staff at mga artista ng produksiyong pag-aari ni Arjo, kaya wala silang nilabag sa ipinatutupad na health protocols ng IATF.

Kasama pala sa pelikula si Hashtag Nikko Natividad at ipinost niya sa kanyang Instagram account nitong Miyerkules na, “Napakabuti at alaga ni Arjo sa aming lahat kaya paano sasabihing inabandona? Hindi ganu’n tao si @arjoatayde.”

Isa si Arjo sa mga producers ng pelikulang isinu-shoot nila mula sa sariling produksiyon na Feelmaking Productions, Inc. at kilala namin siya nang personal kung gaano siya ka-generous kaya sigurado kaming wala siyang pinabayaang tao sa team niya.

Base sa inilabas na official statement ng Feelmaking Production, Inc. head na si Ellen Criste sa sinasabing umalis ang aktor, “Arjo Atayde tested positive for COVID-19 as shooting for his new film culminated in Baguio last August 16. Arjo was suffering from high fever, headaches, and difficulty in breathing.

“It was the mutual decision of Feelmaking Productions, Inc., Arjo’s parents, and doctors to rush the actor, who has a pre-existing medical condition, straight to a hospital in Manila on August 17.

“We have provided assistance for nine others who tested positive for COVID-19 but are asymptomatic and are currently in quarantine. We have likewise coordinated with the local officials for the necessary safety protocols.

“The Atayde family has reached out to Mayor Benjamin Magalong and we assure him and the people of Baguio that we will comply with our commitments to the City. We are grateful for the opportunity to shoot in their beautiful city and apologize for whatever inconvenience that this unfortunate incident may have caused.

“We request for prayers for the speedy recovery of Arjo and the nine who tested positive.”

Ang basa namin kung bakit napagdesisyunan ng mga magulang na pababain na ng Baguio si Arjo ay dahil may trauma pa rin sila dahil sa nangyari sa kanila noong Abril, 2020 kung saan dinapuan si Sylvia at ang asawang si Art ng moderate COVID-19 at ilang linggong nanatili sa ospital.

Ang mga sintomas na naramdaman ni Arjo ay kapareho sa inang si Sylvia Sanchez na barado ang ilong at masakit ang buong katawan kaya nataranta ang pamilya, at hindi siya tumakas base sa pahayag ng RNG Luzon local news.

Iniwasan ni Arjo na makahawa kaya kaagad na siyang bumaba ng Manila at kaagad na dumiretso sa hospital kung saan pumila pa siya.

Habang isinusulat namin ang balitang ito ay maayos ang karamdaman ng aktor at nakakausap siya ng pamilya kaya hindi totoo ang balitang kumalat na malubha at naka-intubate na siya.

Nagpalabas na ang Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ng utos na patawan ng buwis ang lahat ng social media influencers na malaki ang kinikita gamit ang kanilang iba’t ibang social media platforms.

Ayon sa lumabas na Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 97-2021 dated August 16, Subject: Taxation of Any Income Received by Social Media Influencers ay ipinapa-check na nito sa kanilang Revenue officers ang background, objective, Liability for Income Tax and Percentage or Value-Added Tax (Income Tax) at iba pa.

“The term ‘social media influencers’ referred to in this Circular includes all taxpayers, individuals or corporations receiving income, in cash or in kind, from any social media sites and platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, Snapchat, etc.) in exchange for services performed as bloggers, video bloggers or "vloggers" or as an influencer, in general, and from any other activities performed on such social media sites and platforms.”

May babala na ang BIR na kailangang magparehistro na ang lahat ng social media influencers.

“The social media influencers are advised to ‘voluntary and truthfully’ declare their income and pay their corresponding taxes without waiting for a formal investigation to be conducted by the BIR to avoid being liable for tax evasion and for the civil penalty of fifty percent (50%) of the tax or of the deficiency tax.”

'Pag lahat ito ay nasingil ng nasabing ahensiya ay malaking tulong ito para sa mga puwedeng tulungan sa panahon ng COVID -19 pandemic.
