Protesta sa proklamasyon ni BBM... "Academic walkout", posibleng mauwi sa NPA recruitment – Esperon

Kasunod ng panawagang "academic walkout" sa mga unibersidad sa bansa, nagbabala si National Security Adviser (NSA) Hermogenes Esperon sa panganib na maaari umano itong humantong sa malawakang New People's Army (NPA) recruitment ng mga rebeldeng komunista sa mga estudyante.

Ayon kay Esperon, hindi na aniya siya nagtataka sa ganitong uri ng panawagan dahil breeding ground umano ng mga aktibista ang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas (UP) na kalaunan ay nire-recruit nang maging miyembro ng rebeldeng NPA ang mga nasa kolehiyo.

“What is worse now is that you are providing the Communist Party of the Philippines, the New People’s Army and the NDF renewed ranks of the students that may now become vulnerable to recruitment,” pahayag ni Esperon.

Aniya, ang kanyang babala ay kaugnay ng panawagan ng mga umano'y militanteng estudyante sa UP na magkaroon ng “academic walkout” bilang protesta sa malaking posibilidad ng proklamasyon kay Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. na ika-17 pangulo ng Pilipinas.

Ani Esperon, ang NPA ay ang armed wing ng Communist Party of the Philippines-National Democratic Front (CPP-NDF) at diumano ay mayroon din aniyang ganitong aktibista sa faculty ng Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) at De La Salle University (DLSU).

Dagdag pa nito, “You just allowed your institutions to become breeding grounds of recruitment into the ranks of the terrorist NPA and the CPP-NDF. This is dangerous.”

Paliwanag ni Esperon, sa ilalim umano ng martial law era, nilinlang ng communist movement ang mga mag-aaral na isulong ang aktibismo laban sa diktadurya, ngunit ang tunay umanong layunin ng mga rebeldeng komunista ay agawin ang kapangyarihan ng pamahalaan.

21,000 trabaho, bubuksan — DOLE

Tinatayang nasa 21,000 trabaho, local at overseas, ang alok ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa mga Filipino sa gaganapin nitong online job fair ngayong darating na linggo.

Ayon sa DOLE, naghahanap ng trabahador ang 600 domestic companies pati na rin ang 15 licensed recruitment agencies na konektado sa Bahrain, Falkland Islands, Germany, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Japan, Jordan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Micronesia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Palau, Qatar, Singapore, Taiwan at Turks and Caicos. Ilan sa mga puwedeng pasukang trabaho rito ay factory workers, nurses, nursing aides, care workers, engineers, CAD operators, telecommunications rigging technicians, maintenance technicians, carpenters, foremen, laborers at building cleaning workers.

Bukod pa rito, naghahanap din ang ilang kumpanya ng supervisors, physical fitness coaches, cake decorators, cooks, food servers, restaurant workers, waiters, waitresses, counter service staff at service staff.

Ang online job fair na ito ay sa pakikipagtulungan sa Bureau of Local Employment and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) na gaganapin sa Huwebes at Biyernes (Disyembre 10 & 11).

Kaya naman, para sa lahat ng gustong mag-apply, ihanda na ang digital copies ng inyong resume o curriculum vitae at iba pang application requirements tulad ng certificate of employment, diploma at transcript of record.

Samantala, umabot sa 8.7% ang unemployment rate sa Pilipinas nitong Oktubre ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). Ito ay katumbas ng 3.8 milyong indibidwal.
