PhilHealth kinilala sa pagpapalawig ng benepisyo sa dialysis

Kinilala kamakailan ng Cebu Provincial Board ang PhilHealth dahil sa pagpapalawak ng

benepisyo nito para sa dialysis sa 156 mula dating 90 sessions kada taon.

Alinsunod sa Provincial Board Resolution No. 1759-2023, nagpasalamat sila sa PhilHealth sa pagpapalabas ng Circular No. 2023-0009 nito na nagbibigay sa mga pasyenteng may Chronic Kidney Disease 5 ng benepisyo hanggang 156 hemodialysis sessions kada taon.

Ayon sa PhilHealth, kasamang makagagamit ng naturang benepisyo ang kani-kanilang qualified dependents na dapat ay nakarehistro rin sa PhilHealth dialysis database at ang pagda-dialysis ay rekomendado ng lisensiyadong nephrologist.

Dapat ding accredited Ng PhilHealth ang dialysis center na kanilang pupuntahan.

Nagpasalamat naman si PhilHealth President Emmanuel R. Ledesma Jr. sa Cebu Provincial Board sa panguguna ni Vice Governor Hilario Davide III sa pagkilalang ito.

Ayon kay Ledesma, ipagpapatuloy ng PhilHealth ang pagbibigay ng sapat na financial risk protection sa mga miyembro sa pamamagitan ng pagpapabuti at paglulunsad ng mga bagong benepisyo.

Hinikayat din ni Ledesma ang mga miyembrong mayroong sakit sa bato na ikonsidera muna ang kidney transplantation o peritoneal dialysis bago ang hemodialysis ayon na rin sa rekomendasyon ng mga eksperto.

Ang Kidney Transplantation ay binabayaran ng PhilHealth ng P600,000 samantalang

P270,000 naman kada taon ang suporta nito sa peritoneal dialysis sa ilalim ng Z Benefits

packages nito.
