PhilHealth, MMDA strengthen joint public info drive

PhilHealth President and CEO Emmanuel R. Ledesma, Jr. signed today a Memorandum of Agreement with Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) led by Acting Chairman Atty. Romando S. Artes that aims to promote and enhance public awareness on PhilHealth benefits and services through MMDA's digital and non-digital media platforms prominently located throughout Metro Manila. 

The partnership, which is already on its 5th year, will benefit millions of commuters and motorists plying major thoroughfares in the National Capital Region.

"Through our renewed alliance, we aim to enhance access to quality healthcare services for all, especially in the dynamic landscape of the National Capital Region. By synergizing our efforts, we can better address our communities' evolving healthcare needs and contribute to our nation's overall health and resilience,” Ledesma said in his speech.

For his part, Acting Chairman Artes expressed his continuing support to the state health insurer, saying, “Matagal na po tayong nakikipagtulungan sa PhilHealth at asahan po ninyo na patuloy kaming susuporta sa napakagandang programa ng PhilHealth lalong-lalo na sa information dissemination, dahil sa totoo lang napakarami pong magandang proyekto at benepisyo ang binibigay ng PhilHealth.”

Earlier, PhilHealth NCR Office led by Dr. Bernadette Lico announced during the MMDA flag raising ceremony the accreditation of the MMDA Clinic as the country's first non-hospital-based, non-LGU and non-uniformed Konsulta Package Provider that will cater to the Agency’s close to 8,000 traffic enforcers, street sweepers and office-based personnel.

“We would like to give due recognition to MMDA for committing to provide all its dedicated personnel, including their dependents, with the primary care benefit package, such as health profiling, consultations, diagnostic and laboratory tests such as chest X-ray, fasting blood sugar, and electrocardiogram, as well as drugs and medicines for certain medical conditions like asthma, diabetes, and hypertension,” the PhilHealth Chief added.

PhilHealth sagot mga pasyenteng may pertussis

Sa gitna ng patuloy na pagtaas ng kaso ng pertussis o ubong dalahit sa buong bansa, pinaalalahanan ng PhilHealth ang publiko na sagot nito ang confinement para sa nasabing sakit.

Ayon sa World Health Organization, ang pertussis o kilala sa tawag na “whooping cough”, ay isang respiratory infection na sanhi ng Bordetella pertussis bacterium. Lagnat, ubo at sipon ang karaniwang sintomas nito na tumatagal ng ilang linggo o higit pa. Lubha itong nakahahawa at naipapasa sa pamamagitan ng pag-ubo o pagbahing. Mga sanggol at mga batang hindi pa nababakunahan ng DTaP vaccine (Diptheria, Tetanus and acellular Pertussis) ang madalas tinatamaan ng sakit na ito, ngunit maiiwasan sa pamamagitan ng bakuna at magagamot sa pag-inom antibiotic.

Hinikayat ni PhilHealth President and CEO Emmanuel R. Ledesma, Jr. ang mga Filipino na magpakonsulta sa pamamagitan ng PhilHealth Konsultasyon Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) Package kung sila ay nakararanas ng mga sintomas ng pertussis gaya ng lagnat, ubo o sipon. “Kung kinakailangan ng ating mga Kababayan na magpakonsulta, hinihikayat ko silang mag-avail ng libreng konsultasyon at mga gamot na irerekomenda ng healthcare provider sa ilalim ng PhilHealth Konsulta. Ang dapat lamang nilang gawin ay magparehistro”, aniya. 

Ang PhilHealth Konsulta o Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama ay ang outpatient primary care benefit package na nagbibigay ng libreng konsultasyon, health screening at assessment, mga piling laboratoryo at diagnostic tests, at mga gamot na irerekomenda ng doktor.

Nagpahayag din ng suporta ang hepe ng PhilHealth para sa panawagan ng DOH na magpabakuna at binigyang diin ang kahalagahan ng preventive care, “Bakuna at early detection ang pinakamabisang panlaban sa pertussis. Hangga’t maaari ay siguruhin nating kumpleto sa bakuna ang mga bata at magkaroon ng regular na konsultasyon para maiwasan ang pagkakasakit.”

Para sa mga pasyenteng kinakailangang ma-confine, sinabi ni Ledesma na may benepisyo ang PhilHealth na nagkakahalaga ng mula P13,000 hanggang P19,000. “Batid namin ang mga alalahanin sa gamutan ng pertussis at nais naming tiyakin sa publiko na sagot ng PhilHealth ang pagpapagamot ng mga pasyenteng kailangang ma-confine sa osptal” Dagdag pa niya na kung sakaling magkaroon ng komplikasyon dahil sa sakit na ito gaya ng severe pneumonia, mayroon ding benepisyo ang PhilHealth para rito hanggang P90,100.

Hinimok ng PhilHealth ang publiko na ugaliin ang ibayong pag-iingat. “Patuloy nating gawin ang safety measures na ating nakasanayan noong panahon ng pandemya gaya ng madalas na paghuhugas ng kamay upang maprotektahan ang ibang tao lalo na ang mga bata. Tinitiyak ng PhilHealth na makatatanggap ng serbisyo ang mga pasyente habang nagpapagamot sa ospital.”

PhilHealth Member Portal, nasa eGovPH Super App na!

Ipinabatid kamakailan ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)  na bahagi na ng eGovPH Super App ang sarili nitong Member Portal. Ito ay upang lalong mapadali ang access sa mga PhilHealth information ng mga miyembro alinsunod na rin sa panawagan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na padaliin ang mga transaksyon sa gobyerno sa pamamagitan ng digitalization.

Ang eGovPH Super App ay isang one-stop-shop platform kung saan mabilis nang makakapag-transaksyon ang publiko sa iba’t-ibang ahensya ng gobyerno tulad ng PhilHealth, SSS, GSIS, PAG-IBIG, at mga lokal na pamahalaan.

“Ang digitalization ay isa sa ating mga prayoridad bilang tugon sa pagnanais nating mas mapabuti ang serbisyo ng PhilHealth sa mga miyembro” pahayag ni PhilHealth President at CEO Emannuel R. Ledesma Jr.

Para ma-access ang impormasyon tungkol sa inyong PhilHealth sa eGovPH App, i-download ang eGovPH App sa Google Play Store o Apple App store, mag- sign up gamit ang personal na detalye tulad ng pangalan, petsa ng kapanganakan, address, contact number, at email address. Magpapadala ng One Time Password o (OTP) sa contact number na inilagay para sa beripikasyon. Panghuli ay ang verification ng account.

Madaling gamitin ang eGovPH Super App dahil sa user-friendly interface at automated button nito na nag-uugnay sa mga government site gaya ng PhilHealth kung saan maaaring ma-access ng miyembro ang kanyang membership record, contribution history at registration sa Konsulta Package Provider.

Aabangan din ang iba pang mga serbisyo ng PhilHealth na nakatakdang isama sa eGovPH Super App tulad ng online registration at amendment, registration sa Konsulta Package Provider at paggamit ng QR code para mapadali ang beripikasyon.
