100% coverage sa PhilHealth benefits, inihirit

Nagmungkahi si AGRI Party-list Representative Wilbert T. Lee ng pagpapalawak sa mga benepisyo ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) sa isang briefing ng House Committee on Health noong Pebrero 14.

Binigyang-diin ni Lee ang kakayahan ng PhilHealth na patuloy na mapataas ang mga benepisyo.

“Gusto natin hanggang 100% coverage!” hirit ng AGRI Representative.

“Kaya ng PhilHealth na araw-arawin ang pagtataas at pagpapalawak ng benepisyo,” dagdag niya.

Nagpasalamat din ang mambabatas tungkol sa pagdinig ng ahensya sa isinusulong niyang 30% na dagdag-benepisyo sa mga miyembro nito, na opisyal nang naipatupad noong Pebrero 14.

“I would like to thank the leadership of PhilHealth, headed by President and CEO Emmanuel Ledesma Jr., for heeding our call as early as September 2023 during our budget briefing here in Congress to increase its benefit packages given the available budget of the agency,” pahayag ni Lee.

“Masaya tayo na sinimulan nang ipatupad ang ipinaglaban nating 30% increase sa benefit packages ng ahensya. Pero hindi tayo hihinto sa 30% increase lang. Sa pagtaas ng premium ngayong taon, magkakaroon na naman ng dagdag na pondo ang PhilHealth. Dapat tuluy-tuloy pa ang pagtaas sa coverage ninyo,” dagdag niya.

Sa pagpupulong ng komite, ipinahayag naman ng state health insurer ang kanilang pangako na palalawakin ang mga benepisyo na iniaalok sa mga miyembro at mga benepisyaryo.

“110% agree. I would like to promise this committee, that kami dito at PhilHealth, we will deliver big time… Lahat ‘yan, matutupad namin,” pangako ni Ledesma.

PhilHealth members can avail of discounts in SM Stores nationwide on February 14

In commemoration of PhilHealth’s 29th anniversary on February 14, 2024, an exclusive one-day shopping discount promo awaits all members in partnership with the SM Store branches nationwide.

Billed as “PhilHealth Members’ Day"; the promo offers exclusive discounts for in-store and personal shopper transactions. For a minimum single receipt purchase of P3,000, members may avail of the P300 discount.

Members simply need to present their PhilHealth ID and SMAC membership card to become eligible. The one-day promo is not in conjunction with other ­­­promotions, such as the SM Store gift-with-purchase.

This year's commemoration is in line with the theme "Damang-dama ko ang benepisyo" which encapsulates the state health insurer's thrust of enhancing its health benefits packages for all Filipinos.

Unli PhilHealth coverage para sa cancer, isinusulong

Kailangang sagutin ng Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) ang lahat ng mahalagang proseso para sa cancer at heart surgery nang walang limitasyon, ayon kay AGRI Party-list Rep. Wilbert T. Lee, na nagsulong ng 30% na pagtaas sa mga benepisyo ng ahensya.

“Tinututukan ko po ito, hindi tayo hihinto sa 30 percent increase sa benefits na ipinaglaban natin,” pangako ni Lee.

Binanggit niya na maaaring magkahalaga ang paggamot sa mga karamdamang ito ng milyon-milyon, ngunit nag-aalok lamang ang PhilHealth ng 150,000 hanggang 600,000 piso para sa buong proseso ng gamutan.

“In the case of cancer, alam naman natin na ang gamutan diyan, hindi pwedeng installment. Gusto natin gawin itong unlimited. Dapat full coverage; kung ano ang kailangang gamutan sa cancer, kailangan sagot lahat ng PhilHealth ‘yan,” sabi ng mambabatas.

“Because there are so many cases, na kahit doble ang itaas ng coverage, kakapusin pa rin sa pambayad ang mga miyembro,” dagdag niya.
