Natanggap na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang ikalawa at huling dose ng Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine noong Lunes, ayon kay Senator Bong Go.
Ipinost ni Go sa kanyang Facebook page ang mga larawan ni P-Duterte habang binabakunahan ni Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Francisco Duque III.
Samantala, ang Sinopharm ay napagkalooban ng emergency use authorization (EUA) ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) noong June 7.

Dumating na kagabi sa Villamor Air Base ang 1,124,100 doses ng AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines mula sa Japan.
Si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, kasama ang Japanese embassy officials, National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19, at Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) executives ang sumalubong sa pagdating ng mga bakuna.
Pinasalamatan ni P-Duterte ang Japan at aniya, “Japan continues to be our strong partner in various development programs, our cooperation in fighting the pandemic is truly an indication of the deep friendship between our two countries.
“Let me assure everyone that throughout our vaccination rollout, we will prioritize the safety and quality of all vaccines that we are distributing across the country.”
Nanawagan din ang pangulo sa publiko na magpabakuna na laban sa COVID-19 at patuloy na sumunod sa mga ipinatutupad na health protocols.
Saad ng pangulo, “I, therefore, urge everyone to get vaccinated and help prevent the further spread of the virus. We should all continue to follow safety rules and health protocols even when fully vaccinated.”

Dadalawin ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga sundalong nakaligtas bagama't nasugatan mula sa bumagsak na C-130 plane sa bayan ng Patikul sa Sulu na naganap nitong Linggo.
“If it will push through, the President might go to Zamboanga, in the hospital,” ani Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque sa briefing ngayong Lunes.
Sa ngayon, nasa 50 na ang nasawi mula sa bumagsak na eroplano. Kabilang dito ang 47 sundalo at tatlong sibilyan.
Sinabi ni Roque na labis ang kalungkutan ng pangulo sa naganap na pagbagsak ng military plane kung saan maraming namatay na sundalo.
“Matinding kalungkutan po... dahil napakataas na ng numero ng mga nasawi,” saad ni Roque.
Dahil sa insidente, ayon kay Roque, nais ng gobyerno na ipagpatuloy na ang modernisasyon ng bansa partikular sa Armed Forces.
“This will provide impetus for further modernization rather than preventing it,” ani Roque.
“We will ensure that we will proceed at full speed ahead in modernizing our Armed Forces because we need them in defending our territorial sovereignty,” dagdag ng kalihim.
