Matapos magbitiw ni Sen. Lacson... VP Leni, inendorso ng Partido Reporma sa pagka-pangulo

Ipinahayag ni Davao del Norte Representative Pantaleon Alvarez na ang Partido Reporma, na siyang pangulo nito, ay kanilang iniendorso na ngayon si presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo para sa May 2022 elections.

Ito ang inanunsiyo ni Alvarez matapos na si Senador Panfilo Lacson, na tatakbo rin sa pagka-pangulo, ay nag-resign bilang miyembro at chairman ng Partido Reporma, kung saan aniya, napagdesisyunan ng partido na suportahan ang isa pang presidential candidate.

“Our ground leaders have expressed their wish to participate in that brave calling. And that is why, a hard choice must be made. With a heavy heart, many members of Partido Reporma are constrained to consider a candidate other than their first choice,” sabi ni Alvarez sa isang statement ngayong Huwebes.

“We need a leader. And for the 2022 Presidential elections, given all these considerations and the crisis we have to overcome, that leader is a woman. Her name is Leni Robredo,” ani pa Alvarez.

Lacson nagbitiw bilang chairman ng Partido Reporma; tuloy ang prexy bid bilang independent candidate

Nagbitiw na bilang chairman at member ng Partido Reporma si Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson ngayong Huwebes at ipagpapatuloy na lamang umano ang kanyang presidential bid bilang independent candidate.

Sa ginanap na press conference, sinabi ni Lacson na nagdesisyong sumuporta sa ibang presidential candidate para sa 2022 elections sina party president Pantaleon Alvarez at party secretary general Edwin Jubahib.

"Today, I officially announce my resignation as chairman and member of Partido ng Demokratikong Reporma, which effectively makes me an independent candidate for the presidency in the upcoming May 2022 elections," pahayag ni Lacson.

"Considering that it is at the behest of these top-tier officials that I was recruited as a member and the party’s standard-bearer and thereafter elected as its chairman, I believe it is only decent and proper — consistent with my time-honored uncompromising principles — to make this decision."

Nang tanungin kung sinong presidential candidate ang piniling suportahan ng Reporma, sinabi ni Lacson na mas Mabuti kung hintayin na lamang ang anunsiyo ng partido.

Sinabi rin ng presidential candidate na wala siyang “ill feelings” kina Alvarez at Jubahib.

"To Partido Reporma President, former Speaker Alvarez, Secretary-General/Davao del Norte Governor Edwin Jubahib — and the rest of the Davao del Norte Reporma candidates — let me tell you this: I harbor no ill-feelings towards you and anyone who may hereafter opt to join them in their new choice of a presidential candidate," aniya.

Hindi rin umano niya iiwan ang mga sumama sa Reporma dahil sa kanyang adbokasiya na labanan ang korapsiyon

“I am not leaving you behind. I assure you that I will be your leader and supporter in our shared convictions and aspirations. Magkakasama pa rin tayo sa laban na ito. Tulad ng paulit-ulit kong sinasabi, tuloy ang laban hanggang sa dulo!" patuloy niya.

Ngayon na tumatakbo siya sa pagkapangulo nang walang Partido, sinabi ni Lacson na siya ay "more relieved than disappointed," dahil sanay daw siyang magtrabaho independently.

Nanumpa si Lacson bilang chairman ng Partido Reporma noong July 29, 2021, kung saan ang kanyang mga adbokasiya ay — people’s sovereignty and democracy, decentralization and devolution of powers — na siyang aligned sa adbokasiya ng partido.

‘Kahit zero ako sa survey, tutuloy pa rin ako’ — Lacson

Nanindigan si presidential candidate Ping Lacson na magpapatuloy pa rin siya sa kanyang kampanya hanggang sa huli.

“Maski zero ako sa survey, tutuloy pa rin ako kasi ‘di ako naniniwalang zero ako sa survey,” ani Lacson.

Ito ay inihayag ni Lacson matapos na makakuha lamang ng 2% sa latest survey ng Pulse Asia

Kinuwestiyon din ni Lacson ang resulta ng naturang survey na isinagawa noong Pebrero 18-23 sa 2,400 adult respondents.

“I find it difficult to understand and believe—na base sa sarili kong naramdaman sa ground—parang ‘di ko kayang tanggapin na pagkatapos pa ng mga presidential forums and interviews, lalo pa akong lalagapak,” aniya.

Malalaman na lang sa May 9, diyan magkakaintindihan. Ibig sabihin 1.2 million lang boto kasi 60 million ang voters?” dagdag niya.

Lalo pa raw nilang sisipagan sa kampanya ng kanyang running mate na si Sen. Tito Sotto dahil ang mga survey ay hindi naman daw eleksiyon.

“The surveys are not elections and huling narinig ko elections May 9 pa, hindi naman ngayon. That doesn’t mean ‘di kami magwo-work harder,” pahayag pa ng presidential bet.

Ang Lacson-Sotto tandem ay tutungo sa Quirino ngayong Miyerkules.

“I think in so many sorties we’ve had, dialogue ang aming tema, maliwanag naman na meron kaming naka-ready na plataporma at siguro naman maski papano meron kaming ma-convert maski sabihin pa nilang Solid North,” ani Lacson.

Ayon pa kay Lacson, nakakuha siya ng maraming boto sa mga probinsiya ng Cagayan at Isabela, na kanilang binisita noong Lunes, noong siya ay tumatakbong senador.

“Historically, ‘yung lahat na takbo ko ‘di ako agrabyado sa Cagayan, Isabela, ‘di ako agrabyado sa boto rito. Laging malaki ang boto na nakukuha ko. But this is a different campaign kasi may pandemic at lahat,” aniya.

“Sa tingin ko naman, sa pakikipagugnayan namin, sa response nakukuha naman nila ang gusto naming gawin at yung kaya naming gawin,” dagdag pa niya.
