Roque, hanggang Huwebes pa sa ospital dahil sa COVID-19

Tatlong araw nang naka-confine sa ospital si Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque dahil sa COVID-19 at maayos naman ang kanyang kondisyon, batay sa ibinahagi niyang Facebook post ngayong araw, Abril 11.

Aniya, “I do feel normal already on my 3rd day of confinement, enough to do my thrice a week briefings. Will check into a TTMF on Friday to complete my 14 days of isolation. Thx again for all your well wishes and prayers.”

Nakumpirma kahapon na muling nagpositibo sa COVID-19 si Roque, gayunman patuloy pa rin ang pagtatrabaho niya bilang tagapagsalita ng Pangulo.

Sabi pa niya sa kanyang post, “I am better after only one vial of remdesivir and steroids. I came in at the right time since pneumonia was caught early on. Doctors won’t discharge me though until 4 more vials of remdesivir which means I will be confined until Thursday.”

Mula sa ospital ay maayos niyang naiparating sa publiko ang bagong quarantine classifications sa NCR Plus at iba pang lugar, kung saan simula bukas hanggang sa April 30 ay isasailalim na ang mga ito sa modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

ECQ extension, oks sa DILG at OCTA

Hindi sapat ang 2 linggong enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) sa NCR Plus na kinabibilangan ng Metro Manila, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan at Cavite upang mapigilan ang patuloy na pagdami ng kaso ng COVID-19, ayon sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) at OCTA.

Pahayag ni DILG officer-in-charge Bernardo Florece Jr., “Almost 2 weeks na tayo pero ‘di pa natin ganap na nararamdaman 'yung epekto nito, so probably another week will be enough.

"Pero at the end of the day, of course ang nagde-debate r’yan, members ng IATF at inaaral talaga kung ano ang rekomendasyon pero babase talaga sa available data sa science. 'Yun ang pinagbabasehan ng IATF.”

Noong March 29, isinailalim ng pamahalaan sa ECQ ang NCR Plus dahil sa paglobo ng kaso ng COVID-19 at nakatakda itong matapos ngayong araw, April 11.

Samantala, maging ang OCTA Research Group ay nais ding palawigin ng pamahalaan ang pagsasailalim sa NCR Plus sa ECQ.

Ayon sa monitoring report ng OCTA, mula sa 1.88 na reproduction number o bilang ng mga taong nahahawahan ng kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID-19 bago ipatupad ang ECQ sa NCR Plus, bumaba ito ng 1.23 simula noong April 3 hanggang 9.

Saad pa ng OCTA, "The positivity rate in the NCR was 25 percent over the past week... the ECQ has been effective in reducing the growth rate and reproduction number in the NCR. There is hope that the NCR will be on a downward trend by next week.

"Extend the ECQ for another week to continue to slow down the surge, decongest our hospitals and relieve the pressure on our healthcare workers."

Panawagan din ng OCTA sa pamahalaan, isailalim sa modified ECQ ang NCR Plus kung hindi posibleng panatilihin ang ECQ.

Pamimigay ng P1-K ayuda, start na

Sinimulan nang i-distribute ang P1,000 na cash assistance sa mga indibidwal na naapektuhan ng ipinatupad na enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) sa NCR Plus, batay sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ngayong araw, Abril 7.

Ayon kay DSWD Spokesperson Irene Dumlao, "We have full trust on our local chief executives, on our local government units that they would be able to distribute the assistance to their constituents within the prescribed period."

Kabilang ang Maynila, Parañaque at Caloocan sa mga nagsimulang mamahagi ng ayuda sa nasasakupang barangay.

Paliwanag pa ni Dumlao, nu’ng nakaraang linggo pa nila hiningi sa bawat local government unit (LGU) ang listahan ng mga benepisyaryo.

Aniya, "This serves as a reference to the local government units. They still have the full discretion in identifying who will be identified and prioritized, provided of course they would follow adhere to the provisions of the guidelines where it was stipulated that priority will be given to low-income sector, including of course the beneficiaries of SAP."

Tinatayang 15 araw ang ibinigay na palugit ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) sa bawat LGU upang ipamahagi ang cash na ayuda at 30 days naman kung in-kind goods ang ipamimigay.
