Nakatakdang simulan sa January 31, 2022 ang Phase 2 implementation ng limited face-to-face classes sa lahat ng degree programs sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng Alert Level 3, ayon sa Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng CHED na ang mga higher education institutions (HEIs), base sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng Alert Level 2, ay puwede nang simulan ang limited in-person classes anytime.

Pinaalalahanan din ng CHED ang HEIs na siguruhing nasusunod ang health and safety protocols sa sandalling magbukas ang limited face-to-face classes.

"Application to CHED is not a requirement for the conduct of the limited face-to-face classes," pahayag nito.

"HEIs intending to hold limited face-to-face classes during the COVID-19 pandemic must be willing to assume the responsibilities for the reopening of their campuses based on their capability to comply with the health and safety protocols, to retrofit their facilities, and to get the support of their stakeholders," dagdag pa nito.

Samantala, ang preventive suspension ng face-to-face classes ay ibabase sa assessment at desisyon ng Crisis Management Committee (CMC) ng HEI at sa konsultasyon nito sa Local Task Force against COVID-19.

Sa ilalim ng guidelines ng CHED, tanging mga fully-vaccinated students, at teaching and non-teaching personnel ay pinapayagang mag-participate sa limited face-to-face classes na nagsimula noong Disyembre.

Dagdag na paaralan at grade levels sa face-to-face classes sa Enero, pinaghahandaan

Nakatakdang irekomenda ng Department of Education (DepEd) kay Pangulong Duterte sa susunod na taon ang "progressive expansion," kung saan may dagdag na paaralan at grade levels na kasali na rin sa physical classes.

"Halimbawa, by first week ng January, mayroong hundreds of schools ang nag-qualify na, they can start [face-to-face classes] already. And then by the second week, mayroon another 100," ani DepEd Planning Service Director Roger Masapol.

Batay naman sa komento ng mga estudyante at guro, kulang ang pinatutupad na 3 hanggang 4 na oras na in-person classes upang matalakay ang kanilang learning concerns kaya posible ring magpatupad ng adjustment sa class hours ang kagawaran.

"It was very challenging, but it's not for us to complain because our country has survived so many challenges, so many crisis," ani Education Secretary Leonor Briones.

"Education must continue. Education must never stop,"dagdag niya.

Prayoridad pa rin ang kaligtasan ng mga estudyante at school personnel, giit ni Briones.

"So far, wala namang na-COVID," ani Briones ukol sa mga lumahok sa pilot face-to-face classes na natapos noong Disyembre 17.

Samantala, nagpaalala naman ang DepEd sa mga magulang, estudyante, guro at iba pang katuwang sa pag-aaral na mag-ingat at palaging sumunod sa health protocols.

Sa pagbibigay seguridad.. PNP, handa na para sa face-to face classes sa NCR

Handa na ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa pagbibigay ng seguridad para sa pilot implementation ng face-to-face classes sa 28 paaralan sa Metro Manila na magsisimula bukas, Disyembre 6.

Sa isang statement ngayong Linggo, sinabi ng PNP na mayroon na silang listahan ng mga kalahok na eskuwelahan, kung saan asahan na ang mga naka-deploy na mga pulis.

“The resumption of the face-to-face learning setup is not new anymore for us since other schools have already started this last November. We just have to follow the template and remind our police personnel to strictly limit themselves from going inside school premises unless there is a request for security assistance,” ani PNP Chief Police General Dionardo Carlos.

Ipinaalala rin ng PNP sa mga estudyante, mga magulang at guardians na patuloy na sumunod sa minimum health standards para maiwasan ang pagkalat ng virus.
