P-Duterte at iba pang world leaders, nakiramay sa pagpanaw ni Prince Philip

Nagpahayag ng pakikiramay ang Malacañang sa pagpanaw ni Prince Philip ng Britanya na asawa ni Queen Elizabeth II noong Biyernes.

Pahayag ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, "On behalf of the Filipino people, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte extends his deep condolences to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the passing of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

"The Philippines and the United Kingdom have strong bilateral ties and we share the grief of the British people in this period of bereavement.

"We pray for the eternal repose of his soul and for The Royal Family to find strength in this time of mourning.”

Maging ang iba pang world leaders ay nagpaabot din ng pakikiramay sa pagpanaw ng 99-anyos na si Prince Philip.

Pahayag ni British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, “We give thanks, as a nation and a kingdom, for the extraordinary life and work of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.”

Saad naman ni US President Joe Biden, “From his service during World War II, to his 73 years alongside the Queen, and his entire life in the public eye — Prince Philip gladly dedicated himself to the people of the UK, the Commonwealth, and to his family.”

Ikinalungkot din ni Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin ang pagpanaw ni Prince Philip at aniya pa, “Our thoughts and prayers are with Queen Elizabeth and the people of the United Kingdom.”

Ipinag-utos naman ni Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison na ilagay sa half-mast ang kanilang mga bandila bilang pakikidalamhati sa pagkawala ni Prince Philip.

Aniya pa, “The Commonwealth family joins together in sorrow and thanksgiving for the loss and life of Prince Philip.”

Pahayag naman nina King Philippe at Queen Mathilde ng Belgium, “We wish to express our sincere condolences to Her Majesty the Queen, the British Royal Family, as well as to the people of the United Kingdom.”

Lechon, binatikos... Bday ni P-Duterte, simple lang - Sen. Go

Dinepensahan ni Senator Bong Go ang mga bumabatikos sa kumakalat na larawan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte mula sa idinaos nitong ika-76 na kaarawan sa Davao kasama ang mga kamag-anak nitong Linggo, Marso 28.

Matatandaang unang lumabas sa social media ang larawan ng Pangulo habang hinihipan ang kandilang nakatusok sa nakaumbok na kanin. Kasunod nitong kumalat ang video kung saan makikita na hindi lamang iyon ang nakahain sa lamesa ng Pangulo kundi mayroong lechon at iba pa.

Batay sa ilang kritiko, huwag nang magpanggap na mahirap sapagkat insulto iyon sa totoong naghihirap.

Ayon pa sa tweet ni Bayan Muna Representative Ferdinand Gaite, "Acting poor for your birthday photo ops when you're not really poor is just mocking those who truly have nothing to put on their tables for their own birthdays.”

Giit naman ni Senator Go, “Simple lunch lang naman talaga. Sila-sila lang pamilya sa munting tahanan niya sa Davao. Ganu'n naman mag-birthday si PRRD. Wala pa ngang bihis. Presidente 'yan. Ayaw n'yo bang pakainin man lang ng pagkain na kinakain naman ng ordinaryong Pilipino kahit saan... Kahit man lang sa kaarawan niya? Sa mga bumabatikos kay Pangulo, tingin kayo sa salamin. Mas cute pa ang lechon sa inyo. Per PRRD, labinglimang apo at kasambahay ang kumain. Ano palang ipapakain niya?”

Sagot pa ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, “Tingin ko naman, utak talangka lang po 'yan. Birthday naman po ng Presidente, 76th. Ang importante, hindi po magarbo ang selebrasyon. Hindi naman sinasabi ni Presidente na kahit kailan na siya ay nagugutom.”

Sa ngayon ay burado na ang kumalat na video.

Inaasahan namang babalik sa Maynila ngayong araw si Pangulong Duterte upang salubungin ang pagdating ng 1 million doses ng Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines mula sa China.

CREATE bill, pirmado na ni P-Duterte

Nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises o ang CREATE bill.

Ang CREATE bill ay naglalayong pababain ang corporate income tax rate mula sa 30% sa 25% para sa mga malalaking enterprises at 20% naman sa mga small enterprises upang makahikayat ng mga foreign investments na makatutulong upang makaahon ang ekonomiya ng bansa.

Pahayag pa ni P-Duterte, "The CREATE Act will be the guiding document for much of Philippines businesses and industries over the next decades.

"With over P600 billion in tax relief for job creation in the next five years, we lay our faith and invest in Filipino businesses for them to reinvigorate the economy, create more quality jobs, and generate more revenues for the government to tide us along in these trying times.”

Samantala, mayroong ilang probisyon ang bagong batas na hindi inaprubahan ni P-Duterte katulad ng panukalang itaas ang threshold sa exemption ng value added tax para sa real property sales.

Ayon sa pangulo, sa ilalim ng Tax Code, ang pagbebenta ng bahay at lupa na ang halaga ay hindi hihigit sa P2.5 million ay exempted sa VAT upang makatulong sa mga buyers ng socialized housing at based-level economic housing.

Ngunit sa probisyon sa ilalim ng CREATE bill, tinaasan ito sa P4.2 million.

Ayon kay P-Duterte, kung tataasan ito, maaari itong maabuso dahil hindi lamang ang mga target na mabenepisyuhan ang makikinabang.

Aniya, “(It would) benefit those who can actually afford proper housing.

"If not vetoed, the estimated revenue loss from the foregoing is P155.3 billion from 2020 to 2023, which could be used in public goods to benefit the poor directly.”

Hindi rin inaprubahan ni P-Duterte ang pag-alis sa lupa at operating expenses bilang sukatan sa pagkakaroon ng investment.

Kabilang din sa mga hindi inaprubahan ng Pangulo ay ang mga redundant o paulit-ulit na incentives para sa domestic enterprises.

Hindi rin aprubado kay P-Duterte ang automatic approval of applications para sa incentives.

Saad pa ni P-Duterte, "Crucial portions of the CREATE Act were intended to be emergency tax relief for struggling enterprises, but we must not lose sight of this reform's long-term objectives.

"As fiscal resources will be much needed for the government's economic recovery efforts, we must keep this reform's provisions reasonable and not redundant."
