Inaasahang maiuuwi ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang tatlong bilateral deals na mapagkakasunduan ng Pilipinas at Cambodia sa isasagawang state visit ng Pangulo mula Setyembre 7 hanggang 9, ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
Laman ng naturang agreements ang magiging kooperasyon ng dalawang bansa sa usaping higher education, air services, at pagsugpo sa transnational crime at human trafficking.
Ayon naman kay DFA spokesperson Angelica Escalona, layon ng state visit ni PBBM na palawigin ang economic cooperation at makuha ang suporta ng Cambodia para sa chairmanship ng ‘Pinas sa Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) sa 2026.
“The visit is expected to result in agreements and initiatives that will expand cooperation and bring tangible benefits to both Filipinos and Cambodians. It will further affirm the Philippines' dedication to advancing its bilateral interests and connectivity with Cambodia,” aniya.
