COVID positive, puwedeng bumoto – Comelec

Ipinahayag ni Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman Sheriff Abas ngayong Biyernes na ang mga nakarehistrong botante na nagka-COVID-19 ay maaari pa ring bumoto sa May 2022 national and local elections.

Sa naganap na deliberasyon hinggil sa panukalang P26.728-bilyon budget para sa poll body, kinuwestiyon ni Zamboanga City Representative Manuel “Mannix” Dalipe si Abas kung ang mga voters na mayroong COVID-19 ay maaari pa ring bumoto sa darating na halalan.

“If a registered voter is tested positive for COVID, can that registered voter, vote in [the] upcoming May 9 national and local elections?” tanong ni Dalipe.

Agad namang sinagot ito ni Abas, “Oo naman po. Puwede po silang bumoto.” “But gagawan po namin ng paraan na magkaroon ng parang isolation center sa bawat polling center, so ihihiwalay po natin sila just in case they will be confirmed and then doon natin sila pabobotohin doon sa isolation center,” sabi ni Abas.

Subalit, sinabi ni Abas na iba ang magiging kaso para sa mga poll servers, dahil sa hindi sila papayagan na magsilbi sa eleksiyon sakaling sila ay magpositibo sa COVID-19.

Ayon kay Abas, nakikipag-ugnayan na sila sa Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) para i-finalize ang nararapat na guidelines para sa susunod na taong eleksiyon sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Maaaring mag-reactivate ng records sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) online ang ilang Pilipino para makaboto sa darating na halalan.

Ito ay para sa mga hindi nakaboto nang 2 beses na magkasunod.

Batay sa Comelec Resolution 10715, maaaring magpasa ng mga requirements online ang mga botanteng may kumpletong biometrics data ng siyudad, munisipalidad o distrito kung saan sila nag-file ng kanilang application.

Narito ang mga maaaring sumailalim sa virtual submission and processing sa Comelec:

* application for reactivation

* reactivation with correction of entries

* reactivation with transfer within the same city, municipality, or district and the correction of entries

* reactivation with updating of records of senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and persons deprived of liberty (PDL)

Narito naman ang mga hakbang para i-proseso ang inyong reactivation online:

1. I-print ang reactivation form mula sa Comelec website at manu-manong mag-fill up ng form. Kabilang sa mga detalyeng kailangan ay aktibong contact tulad ng cellphone number at e-mail address.

Ang mga senior citizens, PWD, at PDL na nais mag-reactivate ng kanilang credentials ay kailangan ding mag-download at punan ang supplementary data form para sa tulong na kailangan nila sa araw ng halalan.

2. Sa reactivation ng mga botante, i-scan ang application form kasama ang alinman sa mga sumusunod na valid ID:

* employee’s ID with signature of the employer or authorized representative

* postal ID

* PWD discount ID

* senior citizen’s ID

* student’s ID or library card with the signature of school authority

* driver’s license

* NBI clearance

* SSS/GSIS ID

* passport

* IBP ID

* license issued by PRC

* certificate of confirmation from NCIP - for IPs, ICCs

* marriage contract or court order with a certificate of finality order by the Civil Registrar or Consul General

3.Ipadala ang na-scan na application form at supporting documents sa opisyal na e-mail ng Offices of the Elections Officer sa inyong lugar, na matatagpuan din sa website ng Comelec.

Ang mga senior citizen, PWD, at PDL ay maaari ring magsumite ng kanilang mga aplikasyon sa pamamagitan ng kanilang awtorisadong kinatawan.

Pagkatapos nito, hintayin lang ang tugon para sa schedule ng online interview at oath taking.

Maaaring magparehistro hanggang Setyembre 30, 2021.

Transfer ng registration ng balikbayan, hanggang Setyembre 30 na lang

Hanggang Setyembre 30, 2021 na lamang maaaring mag-apply ng transfer of overseas registration ang mga repatriated Filipino voters na nagnanais bumoto sa Eleksiyon 2022, ayon sa Commission on Elections.

"The Commission en Banc recognizes the need to prevent the disenfranchisement of a great number of our kababayans who have been unexpectedly repatriated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, hence the decision to extend the deadline. If they will be in the Philippines on election day, then they can still exercise their right of suffrage by casting their ballot here,” ayon kay Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez.

Dagdag pa ng Comelec, ang mga nagnanais magpa-transfer ng rehistro mula sa ibang bansa ay kinakailangang residente ng lugar kung saan nila nais bumoto sa Mayo 2022.

Kailangan ding personal silang mag-apply sa Office of the Election Officer sa kanilang munisipalidad.

Pinaalalahanan din ng Comelec ang publiko na hanggang Setyembre 30 na lamang maaaring magparehistro para sa local at overseas voters.
