Nag-viral ang Q & A (question and answer) ni Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz at ng kandidata ng Calumpit, Bulacan na si Roella Solis na naging malayo ang sagot sa tanong na “What do you think, what physical asset do you have that should make you win Binibining Pilipinas?”

Naganap ang Binibining Pilipinas 2024 coronation night sa Araneta Coliseum, nitong Linggo, July 7, 2024 at isa si Gloria sa mga judges. Ang sagot kasi ni Roella, “As a beauty queen and as a woman of vision, I am here to present to you the best version of myself despite having pivotal losses. Eight days ago, my grandmother died, and I hope and I know that she's in heaven watching me and proud of me that she has the best seat in heaven, watching me over. Thank you.”

Well, hatala namang hindi satisfied si Gloria kaya inulit nito ang tanong na ikinagulat ng lahat. Paglilinaw ni Gloria, “What physical asset do you have?” Sinagot naman ito muli ng kandidata. Aniya, “What physical asset I have is I am beautiful. Aside from that, I have a mission and vision in life that sets me apart from the other candidates. Thank you.” Samantala, sinabing “curse” o sumpa kapag si Gloria ang judge o magtatanong sa kandidata dahil aakalain mo raw na nasa thesis defense ka. Hahaha!

Sey ng isang netizen, “Bakla, si Gloria Diaz, nanggigil sa sagot ni number 13, tinanong ulit at tinawanan.” Sey naman ni Gloria sa TV Patrol nitong July 8, nilinaw niyang hindi mahirap ang question niya kay Roella. Aniya, “Hard ba ‘yun? Ang dali-dali na nga. Simple nga, eh. “Sabi ko, ang dali-dali, ‘Okay, this is an easy question,’ ‘di ba, that’s what I said?”

Reaksiyon naman ni Pia Wurtzbach, “Minsan kasi ‘yung mga tanong na simpleng pakinggan, ‘yun ‘yung mas mahirap.”

Well, truelalu naman ang pahayag na ito ni Pia. Dahil sa pangyayaring ito, nagsilabasan na naman ang nag-viral ding video na kung saan ay judge rin si Gloria Diaz sa Binibining Pilipinas 2001 na ang candidate ay si Jeanie Andersen.

Ang question naman ay, “If you were given a chance to choose to become beautiful but not too smart or very smart and not too beautiful, what would you prefer to be and why?” Makikitang sobrang kinabahan ang contestant at nauutal sa pagsagot, kaya’t nag-ingay ang audience. Dahil dito, hindi naging komportable si Jeannie kaya’t napasabi siya ng, “Quiet, please.”

Ang sagot naman nito sa question ay, “Well, I’d rather choose to be beautiful because to be beautiful, it’s natural but being smart, you can learn a lot of things, you can learn from the experience, you can learn a lot of things to be smart.” ‘Kalokah! Buti na lang at nasagot niya nang tama ang tanong.
