Inanunsiyo ng aktor na si Jim Carrey na siya ay magre-retire na sa pag-arte.

Sa interview ng Access Hollywood, tinanong ang aktor hinggil sa potential role ngunit ang sagot nito ay: "“Well, I’m retiring."

Tinanong ng interviewer na si Kit Hoover kung seryoso si Carrey sa kanyang sinabi at sagot niya: "Yeah, probably. I’m being fairly serious."

"It depends. If the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road, but I’m taking a break," dagdag niya.

Ayon pa sa aktor, nagugustuhan na niya ang kanyang "quiet" at "spiritual" life, at nag-e-enjoy na siya sa pagpe-painting.

"I have enough. I've done enough. I am enough," aniya.

Sa edad niyang 60, marami nang natanggap na parangal si Carrey. Mayroon siyang dalawang Golden Globe awards for best actor, at mga trophies mula sa MTV Movie & TV Awards, Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, at People's Choice Awards.

Na-nominate din siya sa British Academy Film Awards at Grammy Awards in 2005 and 2006.

Nag-resign ang aktor na si Will Smith sa Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, na siyang nag-oorganisa ng Oscars, matapos niyang sampalin si Chris Rock sa ginanap na weekend ceremony.

"I am resigning from membership in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and will accept any further consequences the Board deems appropriate," pahayag ng aktor.

“My actions at the 94th Academy Awards presentation were shocking, painful, and inexcusable.

"The list of those I have hurt is long and includes Chris, his family, many of my dear friends and loved ones, all those in attendance, and global audiences at home.”

Magre-retire na sa pag-arte ang stat ng “Die Hard” franchise at iba’t ibang action movies na si Bruce Willis matapos ma-daignose na may aphasia, isang sakit na nakaaapekto sa cognitive abilities, ayon sa kanyang pamilya.
