Mga college student sa F2F classes.. Medical insurance rule, binawi na ng IATF

Pinawalang-bisa na ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) ang polisiya hinggil sa medical insurance requirement para sa mga estudyante na lumahok sa face-to-face classes, isang buwan matapos itong maipatupad, ayon sa Malacañang ngayong Biyernes.

Sinabi ni Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Kris Ablan na sa ilalim ng IATF Resolution 168-B na may petsang Mayo 26 na ini-release noong Mayo 27, binawi na ang kinakailangang medical insurance para sa mga estudyante na kasali sa limited in-person classes.

“Upon the recommendation of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Section IV, item “H” of the CHED-DOH Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021 - 004, pertaining to the medical insurance for students is hereby repealed,” batay sa IATF Resolution.

“The continued implementation of proactive measures and restrictions must be put in place to slow down the surge in COVID-19 cases, stop further spread of variants, buy time for the health system to cope, and to protect more lives,” dagdag ng IATF.

Noong Abril, ang CHED at ang Department of Health (DOH) ay nag-isyu ng isang Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2021 -001 o mga guidelines tungkol sa gradwal na reopening ng mga campuses ng Higher Education Institutions (HEls) para sa limited face-to-face classes habang may pandemya pa ng COVID-19.

Subalit, binatikos ito ng National Union of Students in the Philippines (NUSP) dahil anila, ang naturang polisiya ay magiging pinansiyal na pasanin sa mga estudyante sa halip na tinutulungan sila ng gobyerno sa gitna ng pandemya.

Fully vaxxed travelers, ‘di na kailangan ng negative COVID-19 test — DOT

Hindi na kailangan na magprisinta ng pre-departure COVID-19 negative test ang lahat ng mga fully vaccinated na mga biyahero na papasok sa bansa, ayon sa Department of Tourism (DOT).

Sinabi ng DOT, una nang inaprubahan ng Inter-Agency Task Force for COVID-19 response (IATF) ang pagbasura sa naturang travel requirement.

Sa ilalim ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) Resolution 168, lahat ng travelers – edad 18 at pataas, at iyong fully vaccinated na o nakatanggap ng booster shot – ay exempted mula sa kinakailangang negative test proof.

Sakop din ng exemptions ang mga travelers na edad 12 hanggang 17 na nakatanggap ng kanilang primary COVID-19 vaccines, at iyong below 12-anyos na bumiyahe kasama ang kanilang mga fully vaccinated parents o guardians.

“We are glad that the propositions we have worked on have been approved by the IATF-EID and are now up for implementation. As we make it more convenient for tourists to visit the country, the public’s health and safety will remain the DOT’s priority,” ani Tourism Secretary Berna-Romulo Puyat.

“The DOT sees this development as a win for the local tourism industry as welcoming more tourists in the country will yield more revenues for our MSMEs and restore more jobs and livelihoods in the sector,” dagdag ng opisyal.

Sa naturang bilang, 104,589 ay mula sa United States; 28,474 sa South Korea; 24,337 sa Canada; 23,286 sa Australia; 20,846 sa Britain at 13,373 mula sa Japan. Kabilang sa iba pang dayuhang turista na bumisita sa Pilipinas nitong mga unang buwan ng taon ay Vietnamese, Singaporeans, Malaysians, Italians, Irish at French.

NCR, Alert Level 1 pa rin hanggang Hunyo 15

Mananatili ang National Capital Region (NCR) sa Alert Level 1 mula Hunyo 1 hanggang 15 sa gitna pa rin ng COVID-19 pandemic, ayon sa Malacañang ngayong Biyernes.

Sinabi ni Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Kris Ablan na batay ito sa Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution 168-A.

Bukod sa NCR, kabilang sa mga lugar na isasailalim din sa Alert Level 1 ay Abra, Ilocos Norte, Batanes, Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Angeles City, Olongapo City, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Lucena City, Marinduque, Albay, Aklan, Siquijor, Biliran, Zamboanga City, Bukidnon, Iligan City, Surigao del Sur, Butuan City at iba pa.

Sa ilalim ng Alert Level 1, pinapayagan ang intrazonal at interzonal travel anuman ang edad at comorbidities, habang lahat ng establisimyento, mga indibidwal, o aktibidad para mag-operate, magtrabaho at full on-site capacity ay nagpapatupad ng minimum public health standards.
