SSS signs MOA with BOC Region IX for social security coverage of Job Order, Contract of Service workers

The Social Security System (SSS) recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Region IX in Zamboanga City to implement the KaSSSangga Collect Program for the social security coverage and protection of 16 Job Order (JO) and Contract of Service (COS) workers.

Under the agreement, the SSS shall register BOC’s JO and COS workers as SSS self-employed members while BOC shall remit their monthly contributions through an automatic salary deduction scheme to qualify them for benefits and privileges under the Social Security (SS) and Employees’ Compensation (EC) Programs.

The MOA signing was held during the Stakeholders’ Forum at the Palacio Del Sur in Zamboanga City on November 7, 2023, and was witnessed by more than 220 participants including employer representatives, employees, informal sector workers, farmers and fisherfolks, Overseas Filipino Workers, pensioners, and other SSS beneficiaries.

In addition, the Philippine Port Authority – Port Management Office in Zamboanga City also signed a similar MOA with the SSS during the forum.

SSS helps plant 1,000 tree seedlings in Norzagaray, Bulacan

As part of SSS corporate volunteerism, about 160 SSS officials and employees helped plant 1,000 fruit-bearing trees in the Ipo Dam, which is within the Angat Watershed Forest Reserve. The Human Resource Services Division and the SSS Volunteer Group facilitated the participation of SSS officials and employees in the tree planting activity organized by SSS in coordination with the local government of Norzagaray and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to protect the said watershed.

SSS Vice President for Luzon Central 2 Division Gloria Corazon M. Andrada, Project Management Office Department Manager III Miriam L. Abcede and other SSS officials also joined the event.

During the activity, Mayor Germer committed to register the Norzagaray Local Government’s 500 job order workers in the KaSSSangga Collect Program so they can have social security coverage.

Programa para sa SSS member na may Salary Loan na matagal nang 'di nababayaran

Dear SSS, 

Magandang araw! Mayroon akong SSS salary loan sa previous employer ko at hindi ko ito naipakaltas sa aking kasalukuyang employer. Dahil dito, hindi ko nabayaran ang aking loan mula noong 2018. Kaya nag-aalala ako na baka malaki na ang penalty nito.

Mayroon bang condonation program ang SSS ngayon?

Patuloy pa ring tumatanggap ng aplikasyon ang SSS para sa loan penalty condonation program nito. Inilunsad ang Consolidation of Past Due Short-Term Member Loans with Condonation of Penalty Program (Conso Loan) batay sa SSS Circular No. 2022-022 upang tulungan ang mga miyembro na mayroong past-due loans sa SSS. Ang tinutukoy na past due ay loan na hindi nabayaran ang mahigit sa tatlong buwanang amortization o loan na hindi nabayaran matapos ang maturity nito.

Sa ilalim ng programa, hindi na sisingilin ang kaukulang penalties o multa ng kanilang past-due loans. Sa halip, ang tangi na lamang nilang babayaran ay ang orihinal o principal amount at interes nito.

Sakop ng Conso Loan ang salary loan, calamity loan, Salary Loan Early Renewal Program (SLERP), emergency loan at restructured loans gaya ng Loan Restructuring Program (LRP) noong mga nakaraang taon.

Samantala, Rocky may dalawang payment option sa ilalim ng Conso Loan. Una, maaari mong bayaran nang buo o one-time full payment ang prinsipal at interes. Pangalawa, maaari mo rin itong bayaran kahit 10% nito bilang down payment at ang natitirang balanse sa pamamagitan ng installment sa loob ng hanggang 60 buwan o limang taon, depende sa halaga ng iyong pagkakautang.

Para sa kapakanan ng ating mga miyembro, heto ang talaan ng halaga ng pagkakautang at haba o payment terms na kinakailangang sundin para sa pagbabayad ng kanilang mga loan:

Hindi mo na rin kailangang magtungo sa sangay ng SSS sa pag-file nito sapagkat maaari mo na itong gawing online gamit ang iyong account sa My.SSS. Kaya dapat tiyakin mong may account kang nakarehistro na sa My.SSS.

Upang makapagrehistro sa My.SSS, maaari kang magtungo sa SSS website (www.sss.gov.ph) at magparehistro sa Member portal. Kailangang punan mo ang lahat ng kinakailangang impormasyon. Tandaan na ang irerehistrong e-mail address ay kailangang aktibo at nagagamit pa dahil dito ipadadala ng SSS ang link para i-activate at magamit mo ang iyong My.SSS account.
