Pag-IBIG Fund is offering a one-month payment moratorium and reminding borrowers of their Housing Loan insurance coverage to help members recover from the devastation caused by recent typhoons and earthquakes, officials announced Tuesday, Nov. 18.

Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary and Pag-IBIG Fund Board Chairman Jose Ramon P. Aliling said the measures reflect Pag-IBIG Fund’s continuing commitment to provide responsive support to Filipino workers affected by disasters, in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to accelerate recovery efforts in calamity-hit areas.

“Guided by President Marcos’s directive for a whole-of-government response to help those affected by calamities, we are offering Housing Loan borrowers a payment moratorium and insurance coverage for damaged homes under our Housing Loan program, as well as providing all our members with affordable loan options to help them recover and rebuild,” Aliling said.

Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta said that the

agency’s home loans include built-in insurance that provides protection and

helps cover repair costs. She added that they are offering a one-month

payment moratorium for Housing Loan borrowers in areas declared under a

state of calamity due to typhoons Nando, Opong, Ramil, Tino and Uwan, as

well as recent earthquakes in Cebu and Davao.

“We understand that our members need immediate help when disasters

strike, and we at Pag-IBIG Fund are always ready to respond,” Acosta said.

“Housing Loan borrowers whose homes were damaged can take comfort in

knowing that their homes are insured, and we are reaching out to help them

avail of their benefits as soon as possible. We are likewise offering a one-

month payment moratorium so they may prioritize the safety and recovery of

their families. They may conveniently apply online through Virtual Pag-IBIG.”

In addition to the insurance and moratorium, Pag-IBIG Fund is also offering

Calamity Loans and Home Improvement Loans at affordable rates.

Under the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan Program, eligible members residing in

areas declared under a state of calamity may borrow up to 90 percent of their

total Pag-IBIG Regular Savings at a low interest rate of 5.95 percent per

annum, the lowest among comparable programs. The loan is payable for up

to three years, with an automatic three-month grace period before the first

payment.

Through the Pag-IBIG Home Improvement Loan, qualified members can

borrow up to ₱300,000 for repairs or home upgrades. The loan is payable

within five years and is currently offered at a promotional rate of 3 percent per

annum for the first 10,000 borrowers.

“We know that rebuilding after a disaster takes time and resources,” Acosta

said. “That is why we are providing multiple ways to help through our payment

moratorium for financial relief, our Calamity Loan for immediate needs, the

Housing Loan insurance for protection, and our Home Improvement Loan to

help members restore their homes to safety and comfort. Pag-IBIG Fund is

here to make recovery easier, faster and more affordable for our members.”

Pag-IBIG 4PH

Pag-IBIG Fund, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) turned over new housing units on Monday, 29 September, to graduating qualified beneficiaries of the government’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) who are also active Pag-IBIG Fund members.

The turnover ceremony, held at the Abuab Housing Project in San Mateo, Rizal, also marked the kick-off of National Shelter Month 2025, reinforcing President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to provide safe, decent, and affordable shelter for all Filipinos. The event showcased the result of strong collaboration among national government agencies and local government units, working together to expand access to dignified housing under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (4PH).

DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon P. Aliling highlighted the importance of inter-agency cooperation in fulfilling the administration’s housing goals.

"President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed all government agencies to help one another in making homeownership more accessible to Filipinos, especially our 4Ps beneficiaries. Today’s turnover is a fulfillment of that directive. This is the first Expanded 4PH pilot project in Region IV-A. In close coordination with DSWD, we are matching the housing needs of 4Ps families in our collective effort to uplift lives," said Secretary Aliling.

Meanwhile, DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian emphasized the long-term impact of the initiative on social development.

"DSWD’s mandate is not only to provide relief during times of crisis but to help our fellow Filipinos break free from poverty. This is the first time we have partnered with DHSUD on a project like this, and we are grateful that our 4Ps beneficiaries now have the chance to own a home through the expanded 4PH program. Hindi na kayo uupa. May sarili na kayong tahanan," said Secretary Gatchalian.

Pag-IBIG Fund, represented by Deputy Chief Executive Officer Alexander Hilario G. Aguilar, affirmed that qualified members can avail of their own homes at Abuab Towers, which will offer a total of 4,330 condominium units. For a 24-square-meter unit, the monthly amortization is as low as ₱6,201.81 and can be further reduced to ₱4,849.38 with DHSUD’s subsidy.

More than 100 4Ps beneficiaries have already received Notices of Approval for their Pag-IBIG housing loans, with several formally receiving their units during the ceremony. Pag-IBIG Fund continues to serve members nationwide through a wide range of benefits, including savings programs, multi-purpose loans for urgent needs, and other housing modalities under the Expanded 4PH Program.

To bring services closer to the community, Pag-IBIG Fund deployed its Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels (LPOW) during the event. The mobile service unit provided on-the-spot assistance for membership registration, housing loan inquiries, and other programs.

The San Mateo turnover stands as a milestone in the joint efforts of DHSUD, DSWD, Pag-IBIG Fund, and the Local Government of San Mateo to realize the government's vision of providing every Filipino family with a decent and affordable home.

Pag-IBIG Fund’s Expanded 4PH Online Sign-Up Facility is a mobile-optimized platform that allows members to browse available socialized housing projects, view unit photos, compute estimated monthly payments and monitor their registration status in real time.

Over 25,000 Filipino workers have signed up to express interest in purchasing socialized housing units through the Pag-IBIG Housing Loan under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, just three months after Pag-IBIG Fund rolled out its 4PH Online Registration system in June 2025, officials announced Friday, Sept. 5.

This early success reflects strong demand and high interest among Filipino workers in securing affordable homeownership through the Marcos administration’s flagship housing initiative.

The Expanded 4PH Program, which now includes house-and-lot units in subdivision developments in addition to previously available vertical condominium projects, currently features socialized housing developments in key areas such as Caloocan City, Cavite, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Rizal, Pampanga, Ilocos Norte, Bacolod, Zamboanga, and Davao. With more projects underway, even more Filipino workers are expected to benefit in the coming months.

“The high number of registrants in such a short span of time clearly reflects the need of Filipino workers and their families for affordable homeownership,” said Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Ramon P. Aliling, who also chairs the Pag-IBIG Fund Board of Trustees.

“This user-friendly, transparent, and corruption-free digital solution under the Expanded 4PH Program allows us to bring homeownership within reach. The tool also helps us match the growing demand with the available housing inventory, and eventually with the more than 251,000 socialized housing units committed by the private sector. This forms part of our many efforts to move us closer in fulfilling President Marcos’ vision of providing Filipino families with safe, decent, and secure homes under a Bagong Pilipinas,” Aliling said.

Pag-IBIG Fund’s Expanded 4PH Online Sign-Up Facility is a mobile-optimized platform that allows members to browse available socialized housing projects, view unit photos, compute estimated monthly payments, and monitor their registration status in real time. Once a member registers through the system, Pag-IBIG Fund conducts a preliminary assessment based on membership status, income, and other eligibility criteria. The registrant’s information is then transmitted to the National Housing Authority (NHA) and the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) for further validation. After completing eligibility checks, the potential homebuyer's details are endorsed to the partner developer of the selected project to facilitate the housing loan and home purchase process.

“We developed this online registration system with our members' convenience in mind. It now allows them to easily explore housing options and indicate their interest, so we can reach out and assist them in completing their application. This further supports Secretary Aliling's push for full digitalization in the housing sector, a key component of his 8-Point Agenda,” said Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta. “At Pag-IBIG Fund, we have always embraced digital transformation as a means of making our services better and more responsive to our members’ needs. Through this facility, first-time homebuyers can now begin their journey to homeownership with just a few clicks.”

Acosta also urged eligible members to take advantage of Pag-IBIG Fund’s ongoing Early Bird Promo, which offers a special 3% subsidized housing loan rate fixed for 10 years for the first 30,000 qualified borrowers under the Pag-IBIG Housing Loan for the Expanded 4PH.

Under the Pag-IBIG Housing Loan for the Expanded 4PH, qualified members may avail of loans with a subsidized interest rate to finance the purchase of house-and-lot units priced up to ₱850,000, or condominium units up to ₱1.8 million. Pag-IBIG Acquired Assets that fall within the same price ceilings may also be purchased through the loan.

Interested members may register through the Expanded 4PH Online Sign-Up Facility at https://www.pagibigfundservices.com/MagpalistaSa4PH/.
