I have always been proud of the persons my daughters have become. They are their own persons. What they have accomplished, so far, are all borne out of their hard work. They never used our name or whatever little influence we have to get what they want.

“They’re all adults now. They’re not in government. They are not politicians and they don’t plan to be. Totoo, they’re outspoken and rightfully so. We have trained them to stand up for themselves and what they believe in.”

Matapos ang Bagyong Rolly at Ulysses, isinailalim ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang buong Luzon sa state of calamity.

Sa isang panayam nitong Martes, sinabi ni Pangulong Duterte na napirmahan na niya ang papel na nagsasabing isasailalim ang buong Luzon sa state of calamity.

“Mukhang napirmahan ko na ata last night, I think I signed the proclamation,” sabi ng pangulo.

Ayon naman kay National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Executive Director Undersecretary Ricardo Jalad, "It was approved during the meeting the recommendation for President Rodrigo Duterte to place under state of calamity the entire Luzon to address the impacts of the latest typhoons that hit the country.

"It was also agreed during the meeting to convene a technical working group of the joint prevention, mitigation and preparedness clusters of the NDRRMC to assess the current dam management," sabi pa ni Jalad.

Nakasaad sa oder na: "There is a need to recognize the heroic and invaluable contributions of our public health workers throughout the country, who bravely and unselfishly risk their lives and health by being at the forefront of the national effort to address the public health emergency.”
