Dokumentaryo tungkol kay RM ng BTS, may world premiere sa 2024 BIFF

Ilalabas ang kauna-unahang dokumentaryo tungkol sa lider ng BTS na si RM, sa ika-29 Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), na gaganapin mula Oktubre 2 hanggang 11 sa Busan, South Korea. Tinatalakay ng dokumentaryo na "RM: Right People, Wrong Place," na idinirek ni Lee Seokjun, ang walong buwan bago mag-enlist si RM sa military at ang paggawa ng kanyang pangalawang solo album na "Right Place, Wrong Person," na nagbibigay ng pasilip sa kanyang mga personal moments.

Ayon sa official website nito, “The documentary follows the journey of RM, the leader of 21st century pop icons BTS, as he explores his true self—both as Kim Namjoon the artist and as an individual. RM candidly confesses that he sometimes feels like an outsider in conventional settings (‘Right Place, Wrong Person’) and at other times feels out of place in unusual situations (‘Right Person, Wrong Place’).”

“He reflects on how honest he can be as both RM and Kim Namjoon, balancing gratitude for the attention he receives with the pressure and fear that come with his status. RM used the period between the release of his first solo album 'Indigo' and his enlistment to discover his true self, channeling his experiences and emotions into his second solo album. In capturingRM’s creative process for ‘Right Place, Wrong Person,’ the documentary provides profound insight into his authentic journey of introspection,” saad pa dito. Ngayong taon, opisyal na inimbitahan ng BIFF ang 224 pelikula mula sa 63 bansa, kabilang ang 99 pelikula para sa world premiere at international premiere.

HORI7ON, magko-concert uli sa Manila

Inanunsiyo ng HORI7ON, isang global group na binubuo ng mga Filipino na nakabase sa South Korea, ang pagdaraos ng kanilang pangalawang concert sa Manila sa darating na Nobyembre.

Gaganapin nila ang 2024 HORI7ON Concert sa Manila na pinamagatang "Daytour: Anchor High" sa Nobyembre 3, 6 p.m., sa SM Mall of Asia Arena.

“Attendance check! HORI7ON is inviting you to enroll with them at HORI7ON HIGH for their second concert to be held at SM Mall of Asia Arena this coming November 3rd! More details about the concert will be revealed soon so get ready to take notes,” ayon sa kanilang anunsiyo sa X. Ito ang magiging pangalawang concert nila sa Manila sa loob ng mahigit isang taon.

Ang HORI7ON, na binubuo nina Vinci, Kim, Kyler, Reyster, Winston, Jeromy, at Marcus, ay nag-debut sa South Korea sa ilalim ng MLD Entertainment noong Hulyo 2023.

Noong Setyembre 9 ng nakaraang taon, ginanap nila ang kanilang "HORI7ON 1st Concert: Friend-SHIP [Voyage To Manila]" sa Araneta Coliseum. Matatandaang inilabas nila noong nakaraang buwan ang kanilang version ng kantang “Sumayaw Sumunod" mula sa Filipino band na Boyfriends noong 1978.

Deepfake porn videos ng TWICE, kalat sa SK

Nagbabala ang management agency ng K-Pop girl group na TWICE tungkol sa mga deepfake video ng mga miyembro nito.

Nahaharap ang South Korea sa lumalaking problema sa deepfake porn videos, at kasalukuyang iniimbestigahan ng pulisya ang mga kaso sa mga paaralan sa buong bansa, kabilang na ang mga elementarya.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng JYP Entertainment, ang agency ng TWICE na, “We are gravely concerned about the recent spread of deepfake (AI-generated) videos involving our artists.”

“This is a blatant violation of the law, and we are in the process of collecting all relevant evidence to pursue the strongest legal action with a leading law firm, without leniency,” pagpapatuloy nito.

Nagbabala pa ang ahensiya, “We want to make it clear that we will not stand by while our artists’ rights are violated and will take decisive action to address this matter to the fullest extent possible.”

Ibinahagi ng media outlet na Korea JoongAng Daily, na mga Koreans ang pangunahing target ng mga gumagawa ng deepfake porn, ayon sa ulat ng cybersecurity firm na Security Hero noong 2023.

“Based on data collected from ten pornographic websites and other video platforms such as YouTube and Dailymotion, the report concludes that Korea is the most targeted country for deepfake pornography,” saad ng media outlet.

Ang terminong 'deepfake' ay unang ginamit noong huling bahagi ng 2017. Ito'y mula sa isang Reddit user na lumikha ng isang espasyo sa site para magbahagi ng mga porn videos gamit ang face-swapping technology.
