‘Pearl of the Orient’, bagong korona sa Miss Universe Philippines 2022

Kulang dalawang linggo na lamang bago ang coronation night, ipinasilip na ng Miss Universe Philippines Organization ang bago nitong korona na mala-‘Pearl of the Orient’ ang dating.

Kasama sina Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez at Miss Universe Philippines National Director Shamcey Supsup-Lee, ini-reveal ng international luxury brand Jewelmer executives ang bagong korona sa Miss Universe Philippines Gala Night sa Hilton Manila.

Sa isang post sa Facebook page ng MUPH organization, ibinahagi na ang La Mer en Majesté Crown ay inspired umano mula sa mga karagatan ng Pilipinas at ng national gem nito na golden South Sea pearl na sumisimbolo sa ‘harmonious relationship’ ng mga tao sa kalikasan at sumasalamin sa katangian ng mga Pinoy.

Pahayag pa ng organisasyon, “The Miss Universe Philippines Organization and Jewelmer envision this crown as an homage to her majesty, the sea, for she is the queen of the elements. Generous and powerful, she provided the world with this precious gem and contributed the crowned jewel to this exceptional masterpiece, the illustrious Miss Universe Philippines Crown”.

Ang La Mer en Majesté Crown ang magiging pangalawang korona para sa pageant’s franchise, matapos ang “Filipina” crown na inilabas noong 2020.

Sa April 30 gaganapin ang Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Coronation Night, alas-7 ng gabi sa SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Malacañang at Fil-Chi business community, nagbigay-pugay sa yumaong Ambassador Chito Sta. Romana

Nagbigay-pugay ang Filipino-Chinese business community sa yumaong Philippine Ambassador to China na si Jose Santiago "Chito" Sta. Romana, ayon kay Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) President Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong sa naging pahayag nito sa media.

“The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) and the Filipino Chinese business community condole with the family and loved ones of the late Philippine Ambassador to China Jose Santiago “Chito” Sta. Romana, whose sad and untimely demise is a great loss to the Philippines.

“We pay tribute to the outstanding record of diplomatic service, patriotism, wisdom and professionalism of Ambassador Chito Sta. Romana, most especially his contributions to the success of President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s independent foreign policy and the normalization of our vital diplomatic relations of the Philippines with our traditional trade partner and ancient ally China”, ani FFCCCII President Dr. Lim.

Sa hiwalay namang pahayag sa ginanap na press briefing ng Communications Secretary at acting presidential spokesperson na si Martin Andanar, ipinarating din nito ang pakikiramay ng Malacañang sa pagpanaw ng embahador, “Nagbibigay-pugay kami kay Ambassador Sta. Romana sa kanyang mga nagawa para tumibay ang (we are paying tribute to Ambassador Sta. Romana for his contributions to strengthen the) Philippine-China relations. Our thoughts and prayers to the Sta. Romana family,” aniya.

Mula sa pamunuan ng pahayagang BULGAR, taos-puso po naming ipinaaabot ang pakikidalamhati at pakikiramay sa mga naulila ni Ambassador Chito Sta. Romana.

Kapalit ng access sa kanyang office laptop… 300K, pangako sa dating Smartmatic employee

Tinatayang aabot sa 300 libong piso ang diumano’y ipinangako sa dating empleyado ng Smartmatic na may kinalaman sa data breach ng kumpanya.

Sa isinagawang pagdinig sa Senate Committee on Electoral Reforms kaninang umaga, napag-alaman ng NBI na isang third party umano ang nag-alok ng training modules at perang aabot sa halagang 300 libong piso sa dating Smartmatic employee na si Ricardo Argana, kapalit ang pagbibigay nito ng access sa kanyang office laptop.

Pahayag ng NBI, matapos nito ay nakaranas umano ng ‘unusual traffic’ at ‘downloads’ sa Smartmatic system na may kaugnayan kay Argana. Ayon naman sa Smartmatic, imposible umanong makaapekto sa 2022 National Elections ang na-access na file mula sa laptop ni Argana.

Samantala, nauna nang iginiit ni Sen. Imee Marcos, Senate Electoral Reforms Committee Chair, na hinihinalang mayroong security breach sa operasyon ng Smartmatic. Gayunman, ani Comelec Commissioner Marlon Casquejo, walang cyber attack sa sistema ng Comelec.
