Excited na ba ang lahat para sa Araw ng mga Puso? 

Ang isa sa mga pinoproblema ng mga magkasintahan kapag papalapit na ang Araw ng mga Puso ay kung saan sila mamamasyal, higit lalo kung ‘di kaya ng budget ang bonggang selebrasyon. 

Gayunpaman, hindi naman porke wala tayong extra money para du’n, hindi na natin ito ise-celebrate. Remember, isang beses lang ito sa isang taon, kaya hangga’t maaari ay gawin natin itong memorable. Okie? 

Kaya kung naghahanap pa rin kayo ng abot-kayang date para mai-celebrate ang Valentine’s. Aba, perfect timing ito, dahil narito ako para tulungan kayo! Ready na ba kayo mga Ka-BULGAR? Let’s go, basahin na natin ito! 

1. PARK. Ang park ay isa sa mga sikat na pasyalan na sakto sa mga magdyowang tight ang budget. Pero, hindi naman porke rito n’yo ise-celebrate ang Valentine’s, wa’ na agad itong thrill. Dahil, marami pa rin naman kayong magagawa rito tulad ng pagpi-picnic sa ilalim ng mga matataas na puno. Hindi ba?  

Ang mahalaga naman kasi kapag Araw ng mga Puso ay magkasama kayo at magkaroon ng sapat na oras upang makapagkuwentuhan. Gets mo? 

2. STREET FOOD TRIP. Kung gusto n’yo ng iba’t ibang pagkain at maglakad-lakad sa mga kilalang street food spots, aba ito na ang sign para tumuhog ng iba’t ibang fave n’yong pagkain. Hindi n’yo na kailangan pang gumastos ng malaki rito, dahil sinisiguro ko sa inyo na abot-kaya n’yo lang itong mabibili. Oh ‘di ba, naka-bonding n’yo na ang isa’t isa, nabusog pa kayo! 

   
   

3. MAGTAMPISAW SA DAGAT. Kung nais n’yo namang mag-beach date at manood habang papalubog ang araw, ito ang perfect timing para makapag-relax at makalayo pansamantala sa mga problema. Isa rin ito sa magandang pagbuo ng memories kasama ang inyong minamahal.

   
   

4. COFFEE DATE. Kung parehas kayong coffee is life, ito na ang perfect date na para sa inyo. Isa pa, hindi na kayo mamomroblema dahil marami namang shop d’yan na pagpipilian. 

   
   

5. MUSEUM O ART GALLERY. Maraming mga museo at art gallery na may mga libreng admission o discount tuwing special occasions. Nakapag-bonding na kayo, nakapaglakbay pa kayo sa kultura at sining. Hindi ba? 

   
   

6. NATURE WALK O HIKE. Kung trip n’yo rin ang paglalakad kung saan-saan, puwede n’yo ring subukang mag-hike sa mga nearby trails o kaya mag-nature walk sa mga protected areas at eco-parks. 

   
   

Ilan lamang iyan sa mga lugar na pupuwede ninyong puntahan sa darating na February 14. Kaya ‘di n’yo na need mamroblema pa. Oks? 

Kahit na sa kabila ng mga hamon ng buhay, ang pagmamahal ay patuloy pa ring nagbibigay saya at kulay sa ating pang-araw-araw. 

Ngayong papalapit na ang Valentine’s, hindi na natin kailangang gumastos pa ng malaki upang maipagdiwang lamang ito, dahil sa pamamagitan ng simpleng selebrasyon, maaari n’yo nang gawing espesyal ang araw na iyon. Gets?

Cyclists nationwide join forces for Pedal Forward, an SM Cares initiative advocating eco-friendly transportation and cycling inclusivity.

Thousands of cycling enthusiasts from all over the country recently came together for Pedal Forward, a nationwide celebration spearheaded by SM Cares aimed at promoting cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation that contributes to a cleaner, greener, and more cycling-inclusive Philippines. The event took place simultaneously at SM by the BAY and select SM Supermalls across the country last November 23.

The Pedal Forward event goes beyond a bike ride within the mall complex – it symbolizes the goal of Sharing the Road with other motorists. 

Declared through Proclamation No. 1052, National Bicycle Day is celebrated every fourth Sunday of November, aiming to promote a culture of cycling to reduce carbon emissions, alleviate traffic congestion, and promote public health. In line with this annual observance, SM Cares created Pedal Forward with the goal of bringing together cyclists from all walks of life and encouraging them to ride not just for fun, but as an active contribution toward sustainability.

More than 2,100 cyclists come together as one for a greener future during National Bicycle Day, held simultaneously at eight SM Supermalls nationwide: SM by the BAY, SM City Clark, SM City Fairview, SM City Marikina, SM City Santa Rosa, SM City Iloilo, SM Lanang, and SM Seaside City Cebu.

Thousands of cycling enthusiasts participate at eight SM Supermalls nationwide for National Bicycle Day, pedaling toward a more sustainable future.

One of the highlights of the event was a Community Bike Fun Ride that took place at SM by the BAY, with similar bike rides held simultaneously in many other SM Supermalls, collectively engaging over 2,100 riders.

As a bike-friendly establishment, SM offers bike parking in 86 SM Supermalls, with over 6,300 slots, bike repair stations, and tenants offering bike products and services

One of the highlights of National Bicycle Day is the Bike-Friendly Check, an initiative empowering cyclists to suggest improvements for making SM malls more bike-friendly. Participants assess facilities across 86 SM Supermalls nationwide, which currently offers over 6,300 bike parking slots, repair stations, and tenants with bike products and services. Committed to sustainability, health, and community building, SM continuously invests in enhancing its bike facilities to ensure malls are safe and accessible. Through the Bike-Friendly Check, SM aims to improve amenities, reinforcing its leadership in promoting a bike-friendly environment for the growing cycling community.

At SM by the BAY, bikers enjoy a stunt demo by Certified Mountain Bike Instructor Kimi Grande.

A Tambike Party to unwind after the community ride, where cyclists relax and celebrate their shared passion for biking.

A Tambike Session with Bike Organization Founders Pio Fortuno and Roy Maceda, where participants learn important biking tips for a safer ride.

With Pedal Forward, SM Cares brings together cycling enthusiasts from all walks of life, encouraging them to pedal for fun and purpose.

Bike Safety Clinics are organized as part of the event to ensure that kids are properly knowledgeable about cycling safety practices.

Kids gear up for safer rides with hands-on lessons at the Bike Safety Clinics, a key highlight of the event.

Aside from joining their parents/guardians during the community bike runs at the eight locations, a Bike Safety Clinic is organized at SM by the BAY as part of the event to ensure that kids are well-informed about bike safety measures.

Children learn valuable bike safety tips at the Bike Safety Clinic held at SM by the BAY, complementing the exciting community bike runs.
