Bike mula sa POC, malaking tulong para sa training

Malaking tulong ang maibibigay ng mga libreng bisikleta na ipinamahagi ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) para sa pagpunta ng mga pambansang atleta sa kani-kanilangtraining area ngayong wala pang public transportation sa buong Metro Manila sa ilalim ng General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

Buong sigla at galak na tinanggap ng mga masuwerteng unang batch na mga atletang napili ang pansariling transportasyon na handog ni POC president at Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines (Philcycling) head Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino. Magagamit umano ng mga national athletes ang bike para sa pag-eensayo at paraan na rin ng transportasyon, gayundin ang maisagawa ang social distancing.

“I’m very happy because I didn’t expect na mapipili akong mabigyan ng bike. Sobrang makatutulong ito sa akin para makapunta sa training venue namin at makakatulong din sa iwas traffic and sa social distancing,” wika ni Jannah Romero ng national women’s table tennis team.

Ilan pa sa mga kasama ni Romero na nakatanggap ng bikes para sa first batch sina Thea Marie Pomar (Badminton), Lanz Ralf Uy (Badminton), Luvicar Janine Padilla (Gymnastics), Lynette Ann Romero (Aerobic Gymnastics), Queenie Grace Briones (Aerobic Gymnastics), Harold Mendoza (Beach Handball), Luther John Contrera (Indoor Hockey), John Kyle Tabilog (Karatedo), Japheth Organiza Adaza (Table Tennis), Cris Marasigan Niiervaez (Rowing), Rose Jean Fadol (Table Tennis), Hannah Mari Nayre (Table Tennis), Edwin Giron Jr (Athletics), Daniella Daynata (Athletics), Joanie Delgaco (Rowing), Jherica Amodia (Pencak Silat), Rhea Dimaculangan (indoor Volleyball), John Kevin Padullo (Weightlifting), Fierrer Proudhonafan (Wrestling), Aliah Rose Galvalez (Wrestling), Cathleen Vergara (Wrestling), Jed Pumay (Judo) Alwyn Batican (Karatedo) at Dave Degala (Wushu).
